The comments section in a many of the videos is better than the actual content in the videos a lot of time.

Sometimes when I see the creator has disabled the comments, I’ll skip the video all together.

I remember this was posted on SOHH and it was the first time in my life I ever saw that the dislike button went in real time. Watching the video, you would see like 100 dislikes like every second

They’ve been suppressing downvotes for a while. Used to be you could tell a video was clickbait before you played it. With the ads now, I can’t sit and watch all night like I used to. Especially when they mix in those damn 2 minute ones.

This is really to prevent big companies like coca cola or toyota from getting dislike ratio'd on their commercial videos. They put money into the platform, saw the result and made that call

I doubt YouTube gives AF about regular content creators losing their mind over a couple dislikes. YouTube caters to big business now and tries to appease them.

Its not "the new generation of people being soft" since they are not even a part of the equation.
