Ya I use the YouTube app a lot on my LG and I can’t
figure out an easy solution. I could just make a media comp for my living room but it’s not worth it rn for me

1. Buy cheap Android based device
2. Install apps like Smarttube
3. Never use bullshyt TV apps or see ads again

youtube = vimeo, dailymotion, etc
chrome = brave, edge, etc
search = bing, yahoo, kagi search, etc

seems like you just making excuses, and for whatever reason hung up on people "giving a multi billion company free money" - but you still giving other "multi billion companies free money" yourself if you subscribe to any given service (ISP/phone included), or make purchses...so it's funny you have a thing against YTP out of all things

Right we used to use other platforms like dailymotion but google effectively became a monopoly and bought up YouTube which used to be its own entity we don’t owe these pos nothing.

I either circumvent using adblocks on my computer

Use brave browser on my phone

Or if I am using my tv just accept the ads

These companies should be split like they did Standard Oil or nationalized

Almost every YouTuber has a Patreon that typically gets the content posted there before it's posted on YouTube. How many do you sub to? I'm guessing none if not next to none.

Stop fronting you just cheap as hell with no ethics when it comes to supporting stuff you get value from. You have no problem essentially stealing from those creators. You not hurting Google as the company prints money but you are hurting those creators.

So you consume what they make and circumvent any method of contribution to their livelihood and the platform they depend on for it. Floatplane, Nebula, Patreon there are ways to contribute and watch the content that creators make not involving YouTube.

I don't see why you people can't just admit you want what you want and don't give a fukk about them or the platform they depend on. When I was a pirate I had no problem admitting it was all for me fuck everyone else.

Preaching the evils of Google but unable to abstain from using their platform because you don't want the inconvenience of missing out so you shaft the creator and effectively steal their content. The creators not the platform are the concern.

YouTube became what you call a monopoly by being the best of the platforms to compensate the creators and I watch too much shyt from too many people randomly to compensate them all individually which is why I select YouTube Premium as my method of seeing they get something from my views. All YouTube Premium subscribers money goes into a giant pool and Google gives the majority of the take 55% to the creators.

It’s comical to watch you twist yourself in a pretzel to just avoid saying you could give a fuck less about creators to the point you’re now saying me a paying customer doesn’t care about them when I’ve clearly explained why I chose to pay how I do and I’m actually paying not a leach like you looking to get over on the system.

Does it hurt that bad to admit at least her you’re a bad person effectively stealing content from creators and hiding behind trying to stiff a giant corporation to make your logic seem noble? Nobody else but you is fooled by this BTW so you’re just lying to you. Nobody ever has to watch YouTube. It’s optional entertainment.
