Quoted you for truth. One of the reasons Sega will more than likely never make another console. Innovative games don't sell well nowadays. Yet Battlefield's, COD's, & other FPS's that are recycled continue to sell.

i never played it.

Shenmue is what started all these open world environment games (GTA ect...) The level of detail in that game & the interaction with just about anything in it was groundbreaking. Not to mention the story is great. We'll worth a play. If the emulator doesn't play we'll I'd suggest you get a console with both games. They're ridiculously cheap.

No way there's a 3rd version. One it's been over 10 years since the original dropped. And the fan base at that time was pretty minimal. He should just release the comic version and end the story at this point

Just read this here: New Japanese trademarks from Sega (Shenmue), Sony, Square Enix and more - NeoGAF that Sega renewed the Shenmue trademark which they let expire back in Feb. This could mean that we'll get digital releases of Shenmue 1&2 which was rumored to complete back in 2012. This is a definite download for me if it's true. Depending on sales this could lead to a part 3.
