you don’t “demand help” to just make the playoffs. A true somebody in this league should be able to do that on their own. If you’re demanding help to make the 8 seed than your not that good. Trae Young with Clint Capela, John Collins, an improved Cam Reddish (yall can keep sleeping if you want) and Kevin Huerter SHOULD be good enough to sniff the playoffs by themselves. You add “big” pieces to take you from first round exit to competitive imo. I think they’re pushing there chips to the table too early.
Sleeping? The nikka sucked at Duke and he sucked last year. :mjlol:

The hawks had a worse season than us last year and you in here thinking they're gonna do better than the seventh seed this coming season?
:francis:

Just admit it and say you love arguing with everyone in here just to argue.
Yeah, but since then they’ve added a bunch of quality players. John Collins missed 25 games last season due to suspension. Clint Capela didn’t suit up for the Hawks. Just say you don’t watch other teams my nikka.

This shyt is beyond retarded apparently the Hawks are wrong with an off-season of Bogie, Gallo, Rondo, Dunn, Snell, Okongwu, Capela.

Instead they should just have Reddish and Huerter out there 40 minutes. :mjlol:

I really do wonder what’s wrong with some Knicks fans :francis:

Basically this is looking like last season all over again where we'll have to wait until all star break to see the actual youth players get decent minutes :francis:Unless as you say they prove to be better at balancing :snoop:

One subtle difference between now and last season is that from a contract value point of view; these new vets look a lot more like legitimate insurance signings. Rivers is making what Travis Outlaw made before undrafted Travis Wear took his roster spot. Payton's making less than Frank and DSJ.

So for a front office that has really valued cap space heavily, the deals they handed out mean that there isn't as much danger in rookies overtaking vets early. They won't have a 10 million dollar dilemma like when Mitch was clearly better than Kanter, but Kanter would pout from the bench and make scenes.

mills made better free agent picks up last year than rose did this year. sad when you think about it.

its sad that not overpaying a player is seen like a accomplishment..probably because we do it so much:mjlol:

It sucks that it took this long to get some type of competent front office. The moves we've made should've been done 3 years ago :francis:

Mills' first offseason was so bad that I remember being convinced that he pissed away the salary cap space specifically to deter name GM's from wanting the job. Rose and company haven't done enough to really measure them by but not overpaying anybody is pretty much all they had to do in order to be an improvement.

Some of the little cumulative moves they've made have been cool. Nothing ground breaking but the sort of moves that have no risk and accumulate smaller assets. 27 and 38 for 23 which then goes for 25 and 33...can't be mad at that. 5 million in cap space for Ed Davis and 2 picks, then Ed Davis for Spellman, Evans and another pick. It's not Earth shattering but it's just adding something to play with.

This group's mostly unproven. But that's better than FO's that we know for a fact shyt the bed.
