We need to evolve past that shyt

who gonna be that nikka to advance technology in batteries?
Any energy dense substance has the potential for these problems

There's no getting past, this is physics. They just have to be built safely
thats what you think :ehh:

theres no doubt in my mind there wont be a alternate energy that doesn't use lithium acid, or even die off for that matter.

iPhone explodes and catches fire in a student’s back pocket

By Chris Smith on Oct 3, 2016 at 9:16 AM

Batteries are the most dangerous component in a smartphone, and we were all reminded of that when Samsung had to issue an unprecedented global recall for its new Galaxy Note 7 flagship phablet. But while the Note 7 had a defect that made explosions far more common than they typically are in phones, this is an issue that has always affected mobile devices. And no phone is safe. After we saw reports of batteries inside iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus handsets blowing up, another iPhone has now made the news for the same reason: The battery exploded and the phone caught on fire.

An iPhone 6 Plus exploded in a student’s back pocket and caught fire during class,6ABC reports.

“I felt this crazy, hot burning in my leg,” Darin Hlavaty said. “Right as class was starting, my phone started smoking in my pocket. It was a fire.” He continued, “It was super hot, so I flinched, grabbed it, threw it on the ground. Had to kick it because it was on fire.”

The student told the site that the phone’s battery was dead and it was not plugged in. The incident happened during his 9:30 AM physical science class. By the time the fire department arrived the fire was out, but there was still a strong smell of smoke in the classroom.
