
It would have been! The 2.5 million total sold for the Note 7 (month wise) worldwide was more than any other prior Note series & would have been the highest selling Note phone to date. Again, iDummy, the Note series is Samsung specialty smartphone and has never sold in gigantic numbers like the main Galaxy S handsets. Previous Note 5 wasn't even officially sold in Europe..

According to financial analysis firm Hyundai Securities, yes… and no.
The early prediction is the stylus-wielding phablet will ship 12 million units by the end of the year around the world. That’s 12 mil in roughly four and a half months, including the perennially lucrative holiday season. The Galaxy S7 duo in contrast is estimated to have crossed 26M in well under 120 days, so clearly, Sammy can’t expect another hit of an equal magnitude already.

We’re here at Samsung’s Unpacked event in London, where the tech company has just unveiled the new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. While many of the availability details have yet to be released, we are hearing some bad news from some official Samsung reps at the London event.
Unfortunately, Samsung has no plans to release the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe in 2015. As for the Galaxy S6 Edge+, pre-orders will commence in the UK on August 18th, with the handset officially launching on September 4th.
Like I said, details are pretty scarce at the moment, but we’ll be sure to update this post as we learn more.
