Not in my opinion. The black agenda is in addition to reparations. If they say that reparations and whatever that entails is for only ADOS then I have no problem with that. I've read their explanation and it's vague. It needs to be clear in order to be passed into legislation because once it becomes diluted the purpose is defeated similar to affirmative action.
This is what kills me about y’all :mjlol: It’s like somebody poured some Cheerios in a box that says “Oatie O’s” and y’all are convinced they’re different. Even after seeing the pour. Or this notion that this is somehow the priority for granting reparations with the government. How is it possible that we were here over two hundred years and not ONCE did the government take reparations and the roadblock is suddenly the fact that Black immigrants are here :dead:

Ncobra applied specificity, y’all split hairs cause it’s “too vague”. Making arguments for them. And truth be told, reparations ain’t even the objective anymore most of these b*stards are ranting about immigration. I could go for days :bryan:

You're slow.

Did he own CNN? Did he one TV One?

What the fukk is it you don't understand about him being given a JOB, dumb ass?
Do you realize that most people take their jobs and create other companies?

Plus, his ROLAND MARTIN SHOW was his own intellectual property. Thats how he kept so much of the video content.

Roland said his show is already worth 7 million :mindblown:

The numbers he pulled out at 1:13:00 :wow: :damn:

Heres his studio:

Dude's equipment game is serious :whoo:

bruh has a whole studio :wow:

That was never Roland's goal. He wanted a position as Hilary's advisor and/or a CNN analyst.

But you are running away from the topic. He's not like Umar that is 100% independent from the ground up with no history of major backing.

Plus Roland tried to set Umar up on his show. Roland's 3rd highest viewed video is Umar's (Which is basically #1).

King Kong Consciousness.

Roland was always independent. Again. He owned all the content to his show. He's said this numerous times.

Umar is running around with paypal money

Stop bringing his name up. Its insulting.

He wasn't independent. I'm sorry, he worked for a company. That's a fact.

Umar got paypal money because he's independent. He wasn't employed by CNN or TVONE.

How am I not going to bring Umar's name up in a Umar thread? Are you on drugs? Do you know what we are talking about? Hello, anybody in there?

You should care, Roland's best segment was with the guy you are trying to discredit. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I don't know who those other people are you are referring to who are ranting about immigration. I've said time and again that the problem lies specifically with how reparations has to be shaped not with any other aspects of leadership in the community which is the original argument. You keep deflecting into all this other stuff and getting off the original argument.

I mean, you sound sympathetic to LGBT involvement in the reparations fight, under the presumption that they can still be aligned with lineage based advocacy. Yet you’re toward Pan Africanism, so we’re examing what Pan Africanists are actually proposing and how it actually proves you wrong.

Y’all hear “reparations” and immediately jump to compensation. Orgs like Ncobra include compensation and have a criteria for it, but it’s under an umbrella of other shyt where Black immigrants would overlap— aka the same damn shyt y’all call “A Black Agenda”. Nothing changed but the name. Cheerios vs “Oatie O’s”. Fam, they ended that paragraph with the following:

This is similar to the Rosewood, Florida reparations package, where some forms of reparations were provided only to persons who descended from those who were injured, died and lost their homes and other forms were made available to all Black people of African descent in Florida.
:dahell: Idk if the jargon is too hard to grasp or what, but they’re telling you *yes* we’re Pan Africanists, but we still understand that specificity has it’s place and where it applies. In fact we have an example. But y’all just think “They’re Pan Africanists” so they “they’re going to undermine our specificity and make our money for everybody”… the same way Umar thinks someone like Yvette is gay, so “she’s going to undermine our specificity and make our causes for everybody.” This outburst by Yvette is exposing y’all.

You mean TV One, the show that went off the air?

His audience was from major tv and when he lost his position(s), he took that with him.

No. His audience is from when he was over both the Black America Web and the Chicago Defender before he picked up his gig at CNN later on.

Which is the crazy part, y’all were latecomers introduced to Roland by his tv gigs later on, but many of us have been following his career way before that.

Like I said, Roland was over the Chicago Defender here in Chicago which is Chicago’s oldest black newspaper and one of the biggest institutions here in the black community.

Black America Web was the most popular black online news and media platform at its time.

He had supporters way before CNN and have gathered supporters over the life of his career. How that’s not seen as “from the ground up” is beyond me.

It's not the ground up because it's not an organic or independent platform. It was a job given to him.

I said it started with the rise of ADOS, that’s not disingenuous. What’s more, Pan Africanism as an ideology was discarded wholesale. I see it all the time on Twitter from ADOS/FBA accounts. Yvette kicked it off with a video on how “Pan Africanism is dead” and is still liable to send jabs today. Her and others will post stories of some rift as further evidence that the ideology is dead. As if the people involved were even Pan Africanist in nature— that’s not about individuals like Umar.

That’s not even the issue though, I’m trying to understand why y’all are more turned off by Umar’s comments than when it’s basically the same mentality with a different ‘enemy’. He said LGBT shouldn’t be the face of leadership, imagine if he said ‘LGBT-ism is dead’
they post those vids as a response to loudmouth people (like you) that keep yapping about PA and how ADOS is a toxic thing causing "division"

LGBT shouldnt be I agree, but Yvette aint pushing LGBT shyt i dont remember her pushing such elements in ADOS space. her being lesbian doesnt mean shes pushing it.
