sorry where is the black equivalent of marvel, disney or dc comics? stop acting like we have these big corps that are capable of doing this shyt and don't give me examples of individuals.

Tyler Perry has his own studio. Kevin Hart has his own studio. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have their own studio. Spike Lee has his own studio. There are plenty of talented black directors and producers. You can't tell me that none of these people could never make a movie similar and as good as Black Panther. You don't need 100 mil of CGI to make a great movie.

we are controlling the narrative with our image. next thing you will say athletes don't control how they are viewed because cacs run everything, stop it man.

Those aren't the same thing. But seeing how Kaep got kicked out of the NFL and the NFL made the rest of the players think twice about kneeling when that happened. That says enough about what the players can and can't do.

there is no black nfl, nba, mlb etc so i don't even know what your point is.

Sports leagues aren't movie studios so I'm not sure what your point is either.

she has solutions all the time,
there just not the solutions you want.

how is it begging if the work has never been paid for?
Jews get reparations from the us
native Americans get it

we've done the most work and are rewarded the least.
even dreamers are getting free citizen ship which will directly impact lower poor black.

all thosr groups advocated there cause, is it begging when they do it...

we are owned a debt......
I'm not disagreeing with Black people getting reparations. Just confused in her thinking government actually give a fukk to do so. She argues against building Black wealth and start controlling resources which hasn't been done for decades.

A comic book movie? No they could not.... the average cost of a Marvel flick is about 200 mil right about now....... that's why Disney(worth about 120 bil) dedicated an exclusive studio just to marvel projects....

Sports leagues aren't movie studios so I'm not sure what your point is either.

those are small studios for independent movies and tv shows not blockbusters. tyler perry studio is not a finished product yet, he still has lot of work to do to make it like universal and the rest.

you want me to disregard the success of back panther because it was funded and created by marvel/disney, where are all the european, south american movies or asian flicks beating all the cac records??????????

where they at?

you already know what i meant with the sports analogy. you seem to not want to give anyone credit but i am sure you praise the players or teams who are under cac rule and don't control the narrative according to you in these sports leagues.

I said similar not the same. I also said you don't need 100 mil CGI to make a good movie.

Now. That Marvel logo brings with it A LOT of hype. No new movie fresh out the gate is gonna bring that type of heat. And it doesn't have to be a comic book movie to have a similar story, character development, messaging, and acting quality.

because we never too africa seriously just like the way people always disregard the middle east despite them creating a "dubai" which in fact gets a lot of negative attributes despite all the luxury over there.

those people think like you that money is everything which is a lie. one's image is as important or bigger than money.

And why is that? That's why it took someone else to tell that story. It took someone else to craft that narrative. It took someone else to push that narrative. It took a white company to make black people pay attention to a black superhero from Africa. We were just lucky this time to be able to have some say and benefit from the ride. Africans didn't create that interest. African-Americans didn't create that interest. White people created that interest. Then Africans on both sides of the Atlantic magnified and added to that interest.

africans and black americans have been making movies together way before black panther but it wasn't on a blockbuster scale because we haven't reached that level yet.

even aaron mcgruder had to get japanese animators for his cartoon series, stop it dude. you are scared to crawl and claiming we already at the top when we aren't.

No. Man, you're changing your argument. This movie isn't ours. You own what's yours. You don't own Black Panther or Black Panther 2 or Wakanda. It was created by two Jewish guys and owned by white people. It's thankful that they have the good sense and ethics to allow people of African descent to tell that story. Even though the character himself is African, not African-American.

Yvette needs to relax a little. I still don't think the SNL skit was that serious. Not enough for a whole YouTube video. It was good fun. We get it.

so what? what do you expect us to do when there are no official well known black owned comic book corps? i am not changing any argument. we have no nba, nfl etc, so we should give all the credit of the leagues success to cacs because they created these leagues.

you just sound like a weirdo to me. do you support only the bobcats in the nba, what is your point dude? michael jordan is a majority owner paving the way for other black people which is creating the narrative but you want me to brush everything aside because cacs run the league.

i am using the sports analogy to show you how ridiculous you sound man. the players really make the league way more than these cac fakkits that nobody cares about.
