Age bruh. Give it another 5-10 years when Bron is in his mid to late 30's and more Bron copy cats are coming up.

When Kobe was 30, you didnt have rookies sayimg he was their fav. At least not to my knowledge

yes u did. lebron said kobe was his fav when he came in at 18 and kobe was 24. and beyond lebron, countless dudes in the mid-to-late 2000s came in as kobe stans. harden, westbrook, klay thompson, to name a few.

Known fact that actual NBA players don't respect Bron as much as laymen because:
A. You need to be skilled to be in the league
and
B: You have to like competition in the league.
Two things Lebron and his Stans lack fundamentally :francis:.

It's easier to look at Kobe as someone you can aspire to be. He's a great athlete but his skills are stuffed he's honed through practice.

Lebron is pretty much a GOAT-tier athlete, almost inhuman. The things that make him special is stuff that you can't teach, so it's harder to emulate.

Kobe seems reachable, Lebron doesn't.

now explain why michael jordan is everyone's favorite athlete ever?

your theory is wrong. its more likely people appreciate the grace by which kobe and jordan play vs. the brute strength and power game of lebron. same way more cats like hakeem over shaq.

style and grace are more pleasing to watch and emulate than raw power and strength. if it was simply about who you could emulate, then jordan would not be the most popular ever. instead it would be someone like mark price or larry bird. you know unathletic cacs who honed their shooting ability.

MJ was the perfect mix of freak athletic ability and grace.

Lebron focuses more on efficiency and results. Lebron's style of play is much harder to emulate unless you're a 6'9 freak athlete with amazing court vision. The things that Lebron are great at aren't things that people can even see like reading and predicting weak rotations, passing, and being a locomotive with a absurdly soft touch at the rim.

The younger players in the league all say nice things about Kobe on camera but which ones have modeled their game after him? :sas2:

Exactly, even Harden at his current age is as talented skill wise as Kobe at the same age. Only thing you can say it that Kobe was a better athlete but Harden is no slouch athlete either. LeBron is an other worldly talent...you cannot teach Bron's size, strength, athleticism and bball mind.
