this country is beset with rising homelessness, when families can barely afford to put food on the table as they contend with a cost of living that has exploded under inflationary pressure, and this a$$hole tells us to stop complaining as we see billions allocated to fund his war.

Much of it mirrors what I see here.

When older guys are discussing things, maga or trump being positive is not one of them.
Some might say they made more money under Trump, yet the generational debates are way different.

How much of your paycheck are you willing to send over there? When we send military 'aid' over there that equipment will need to be replenished. How much more are you willing to be taxed for it? Same question for China/Taiwan in the near future.

Significantly more. We want to keep this conflict between Ukraine and Russia in Ukraine for as long as possible. If Ukraine falls and Putin moves into Poland, there will be disastrous consequences for us here.

the money could have been invested at home, in healthcare, education, housing and infrastructure.

nothing outside of monetary policy may successfully stem inflation, but spending of that nature on domestic issues would show the american public that biden understands what they’re going through.

This is some BULLSHYT! Dr.King was anti-war and wanted an economic revolution WHEN LBJ was president during the Vietnam war. Nowadays if a black man talks about being anti-war and wanting an economic revolution y'all stay calling them MAGA.

Black folks came out in droves to vote for Biden and instead of making housing more affordable, given education debt relief and healthcare more available. We have to hear about some damn Trump....2 years into his presidency....shyt is more expensive now, housing is less affordable and we still waiting on student debt relief.

I'm on the older side too but I think your perception is off. No offense. These are serious issues. However, the older generation didn't do much and didn't put themselves in position to effectively fight what's taking place today. Heck, we have a congressional black caucus that remains silent even on what's occurring today. Having passionate debates don't do shyt but have people talking.

Surprised you did not also talk about Malcolm. I hear these same arguements from the young guys.
Much of it having to do with feeling a bit hopeless for the future.
Things are rapidly changing, getting worse.
A lot of young people are angry.
Covid has completely robbed many of important times in their lives.
What I am saying is I understand.

It can get much much worse though. The truth of the matter is that Zelensky could use MUCH more help.

That is my point. A feeling that the older folks were failures. That blk people from the 60s, 70s, 80s failed those today.

What that tells me is that future is bleak.
