All things being equal, I’d prefer to avoid world war.

I don’t use KKK and white supremacist synonymously. While the KKK is a white supremacist organization, white supremacy has infected all American institutions including the police even in the absence of overtly white supremacist individuals as was evidenced in Memphis recently.
