I like how Jaxson Hayes is developing though

He’s showing signs he can hit the outside shot and today they had him out there guarding the stretch 4’s along with Hernangomez and Steven Adams at the 5.

that lineup was actually solid believe it or not

They had Meli but traded him i guess. But yeah a stretch 5 would be aight. I still like him with a bruiser like Adams.

I like the Pels center lineup actually..

I agree, He should be Zions “Kris Middleton”. I still think they should get a SG that can just get his own with minimum ball handling and a SF that can just shoot.

Slowly the NBA kinda is evolving to where the facilitator role is position-less and guys like Harden, Jokic, Lebron, Luka, etc will be p4p more valuable offensively than guys like KD, Kawhi, AD, PG, etc...

The latter type may be as good or better pure 1-1 scorers, but that added dimension of not needing a point guard (or a collective of high IQ vets) to keep things flowing is invaluable. If the latter isn't actively scoring, it sometimes feels like they'll just drift and disappear for long stretches. Whereas you almost always feel constant pressure from the former.

So if they can cultivate Zion to have that skillset, where he can interchange seamlessly from one to the other.. that's a smart call.

Zion’s passing and IQ are very good. He’s almost “Butler” like where they’re almost unselfish to a fault despite being the best scorer in a team.

I don’t think it’s terrible but I don’t see the need for him on the team.

Dude is a volume mid-range shooter that needs the ball in his hands at all times.

Offense was stagnant af whenever he was in there and just taking contested mid-range shots.

He would have to change his game and be a legit wingman but he doesn’t want to do that, he wants to be the #1 option so he could ride somewhere else and do that... if Pels are serious about giving Zion the keys

I think you gotta keep Ingram because I think there are certain teams that I think you want his three level scoring ability yet. He just had to understand he’s the 2nd option until those particular playoff matchups where they start trying to walk off Zion from the paint and you need the threat of Ingram abusing his one on one matchup to allow Zion to rest and get easier buckets.
