Capitalism is a religion

Top 1% of a species gets as much as 50% of the entire world

And folks will defend this shyt because they've been programmed all their lives with fake ideas of merit and success stories :dead:

It's bad when they own everything material... But when they own your spirit too :picard:

Does Bezos, Gates, Musk, etc. all have 1 billion in cash sitting in a bank?

When we talking about billionaires is it cash or is it all assets? Technically can make $80k salary, but still be considered a millionaire if you own a million dollar home.
If they are being taxed higher, they will sell their stock to make sure they pay those taxes.

Most of their income is in stock, but if they have 5 houses and the property tax on those houses goes up, they'll either sell the houses or they'll rent them out. Chances are, it's easier for them to do the former than the latter. When they sell, then they get taxed on that sale too.

All of that may sound bad to someone who has been spoonfed pro billionaire propaganda, but the reality is, to someone who can access 2 million dollars by selling stock at any time, then making that same money back in less than a week, selling a 5 million dollar house is like you spending 20 dollars the day before your paycheck(with a bonus) enters your bank account. It's meaningless to them.

They just want you to think its a big deal because they're mentally ill and don't want to lose ANY money. Even if they make that money back just as fast as they lost it. The psychological pain of knowing that the money was taken away from them is like when a child who doesn't ever play with a toy finds out that it's going to another child and they have a fukking meltdown and start crying. These people need therapists and they need to shut the fukk up and pay their taxes like we all do. They aren't like us.

If youre taxed an extra 10% that might mean your vacation is canceled or you cant buy a toy for your child for Christmas. If Jeff bezos tax goes up an extra 10% literally nothing will change in his life. He will still be able to fly his private Jet whenever and wherever he wants, he will still keep eating all his meals at 5 star restaurants or getting cooked for by his private chefs. Nothing would change for him but he needs you to think its the equivalent of YOU being stopped from doing anything because HE can't hoard his wealth.

These people are delusional and the time has come for them to grow the fukk up and pay their share in society. People don't understand many of them get YOUR tax money to subsidize their businesses. They're not even taking real risks. That's how a company like tesla can be worth more than all American car companies put together whilst having terrible craftsmanship and even worse variety and pricing options. It's kept afloat through bullshyt speculation and govt subsidies(aka your money).

I think the dude may actually care honestly and want to do the right thing but the thing is to me he is acting like he is everyman and just a normal New Yorker and he isn't. His family benefited directly from British Colonialism in Uganda in and Apartheid in South Africa. His dad benefited from white supremacy even though he was an activist.

The guy grew up in a super expensive private school and lived in rich neighborhoods. But now he is the everyman eating with his hands. He is so privileged he could never really understand what it really means to be an average New Yorker. He just comes off as inauthentic. And it will be virtually impossible for a mayor to implement all that shyt he is proposing without the backing of some rich people.

How so? His father was a professor at UCT. Riddle me on how he benefitted from it when he moved his family there in 1996
How many Ugandan professors could just get hired at UCT. He benefited from his non blackness for sure in Cape Town in 1996. That's not saying that he actually tried to benefit from it but he just did. He actually seemed like he was about that action politically. Just like some white people today befitting from slavery even though they had no part in it. Because of abundance of opportunity or funds compared to descends of slaves.

If you want to talk about nepo baby, cuomo is literally a nepo baby lol.
He most likely is 100%, but he isn't running a campaign as a lunch pale socialist everyday new yorker, we are just the same type shyt either. Don't really care for Cuomo but he got the majority black vote and Zhoran got the liberal white vote.

AOC could run this campaign and be authentic but not a guy who went to an expense ass private school.

So you're telling me, that an Indian, living in South Africa, post apartheid, under a government ran by the majority Black ANC, benefitted from a system of racial discrimination that wasn't being practiced anymore and hadn't been since 1994 when Mandela became President? What the fukk are you talking about?
