Like I said in the thread about giving back to the hood, black people really don't care about other black people like that, especially those who are less fortunate.

I think it's safe to say the community doesn't really care for one another unless we're forced to because white people have their Nazi boots on our necks and are actually applying pressure. The boot is always there, but only when they apply pressure do we "unite." Other than that........*Looks around the Coli* Well, you know.

Abortion was used as a means of genocide breh. It has nothing to do with the black experience and everything to do with eugenics and white supremacy.

I disagree. White people and organizations are the ones making the ads shaming Black women for abortion. Honestly your genocide argument is pretty ridiculous considering a woman can have one abortion then later have 3+ kids when she's ready or thinks she's ready. Also considering abortion usually happens when things like condoms and birth control don't work out. Which is to say in other words, the fetuses weren't going to be conceived in the first place. If abortion is genocide then the pull out method must be a holocaust.

We don't usually have trouble making babies like other racial groups. But I agree with the general idea of your post.

Again, it's not about being unable to have your own kids. It's about us not really giving a fukk about our own. It's why we don't donate to any black charities, it's why we don't volunteer to any black causes, it's why you see so few people wanting to "give back to the hood."

Like I said in the other thread, black people really don't give a fukk about other black people. The shyt is across the board, not just in adoption.

Well that along with actually even knowing about the situation as a whole. You let a large segment see the dire situation these Black kids are in, they may even change their tune today......:manny:

Common sense should tell you being orphaned and black is a dire situation. Now it's whether you're interested in doing something about it. Once you show the interest only then do things like finances and white imposed barriers matter. But if you really want to make it happen, it will happen.

So are we saying that the lack of black people adopting black children is an indictment on us as a whole? Especially considering the reactions to that white father who adopted a black child? Liggins is right...the unfortunate byproduct we're left with is the upbringing of racially ambiguous/ignorant children...the likelihood of a white family cultivating a black child to be pro-black is slim to none especially considering their inability to speak on these issues in far less interpersonal situations. Impossible?...nah I wouldn't go that far.

Nonetheless, its still better than leaving a child in the foster system.

Uhhh, breh what I'm saying isn't my opinion. It's fact. The lady who started planned parenthood believed in Eugenics. Her purpose for starting it was to reduce the number of black people in America (along with other non white groups). It's why the majority of planned parenthood facilities are in predominately black neighborhoods.

This right here. In that thread about the white dude defending his black, adopted daughter, Coli militants were :scust: at white people adopting black children. So I guess the children are better off orphaned or at foster homes with piss poor oversight? If more of us were willing to step up and adopt black children we wouldn't have to criticize how white people were raising them. It's stupid and unrealistic to think that white people, who fumble and bumble through race relations when even trying to be genuine, can provide a racially balanced, pro black upbringing for a black child. Of course we as a community have an issue raising our own kids and look down on the men who take an interest in the welfare of children of single mothers sooooooooooooo.......yeah. White people are going to be raising racially ambiguous black children for a long time and we can only blame ourselves for that.
I'm going to try to have a civilized discussion in TLR. I ask that you do not dodge here and actually address what I say. Last time we tried to do this in the Booth when you guys claimed that black people not supporting music was the biggest problem, I dared you to support it with numbers. You couldn't and then flipped at me and others for pointing out these flaws WITH numbers. So I respectfully ask you once again, go ahead and support your assertion that black people do not want to adopt children at all? If anything, given the fact that black women are getting married later than other racial groups, you would assume that they would be more prone to adopt. I have not researched this, but you inserted the argument so support. Anthing else is just a bunch of conjecture.
And some of those same fakkits (I asked) said hell no they're not adopting a child.

Like I've said on this site numerous times, 99.9999% of these pro black nikkas are either cacs cacing or just some straight fukk boys running their mouths.

Not sure when, but I'm definitely adopting at least one child. Can't leave our children in the system like that, they deserve better.
The bigger question should be why so many black children are up for adoption in the first place? Black people are 13% of the population, I have no what percentage of the orphaned population black people make up but saying black people should carry the burden of adopting black children in mass--as opposed to working against black kids becoming orphaned in the first place, is insane. If I raise my three kids (I have none) with my wife, nobody is about to tell me that I'm a terrible human being because I did not go adopt a fourth kid. The median income of a black household in the U.S. is like 30k why the fukk would black people be adopting in large numbers? Economically speaking, white people are more suited for adoption just based on resources. As for all that other shyt you're spouting about what we don't do--provide facts or there's no validity. You guys consistently make the mistake of trying to uplift by berating people with information that is often outright false or misrepresented.

That's true, I agree, but lets be real, you know the main reason for this is economics, and not because they don't want to.
Thank you. These dudes stray onto that Cosby shyt all the time with no basis of supporting it. When people harp on 72% of black children being born out of wedlock they falsely assume that means the other parent is not in the child's life. Statistics show that is not the case. Second, 72% of black kids are born to single mothers but that's really a result of the fact of black couples getting married later and having fewer children. That rate has dropped so drastically that out of marriage birth consumes the vast majority of black births despite the fact that black birth rates among the unwed has drastically declined as well.

I agree, but people thinking with their pockets nowadays. It would be nice if we had a collective Ujima mentality, but its absent, because people think of money first before love...this is what Amerikkka has engrained in the minds of people.........So again, when you come to somebody on this, their first impulse will be to look to the amount of money that it would cost, instead of this being a way to get the child or children out the grips of a abusive and isolated state of being.

Abortion was used as a means of genocide breh. It has nothing to do with the black experience and everything to do with eugenics and white supremacy.

Trans-racial adoption is used as a form of genocide too.

Between 1968 and 1972, approximately 50,000 black and biracial children were adopted by white adoptive parents. At the time, adoption of black children by white families was thought necessary due to the increasing number of black children in foster care and the seeming lack of black adoptive families. In the early 1970s, transracial adoptions gained in popularity as the number of available white infants declined and the number of prospective adoptive parents continued to grow.

The practice of transracial adoption was severely challenged in 1972. At the national conference of the North American Council on Adoptable Children, the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) issued a formal position opposing transracial adoption, citing concerns that such placements compromised the child's racial and cultural identity, amounting to a form of cultural genocide. The NABSW expressed concern that black children raised in white homes would fail to develop effective coping strategies to deal with racism and discrimination, and would experience subsequent identity conflicts as they grew older. The NABSW also challenged traditional adoption practices and raised questions about institutionalized racism within the adoption profession. They brought forward existing evaluation criteria for prospective adoptive couples that routinely prevented black families from qualifying, and stated that even though prospective black adoptive families did exist, adoption agencies were failing to recruit them and were, in fact, passing them over in favor of white couples.

Ehh..don't let these random white folks who adopt non white kids fool you. The reason most people adopt, regardless of race is usually because they physically can't have kids. So for the most part no one gives a fukk about adopting kids Unless they need one, helping s child in need is rarely the sole reason for adopting. Black people are not unique in not giving a fukk about adopted children. Unfortunately I don't see black folks all of a sudden going against the grain and somehow becoming morally superior to the rest of the general pop. Most black folks will conduct themselves like the rest of the general population and make Their own children. Much more efficient process. Also, black folks adopting more black kids is just the band aid on greater issue.

:manny: Whatever.

When people say "statistics show" it's usually followed by links and statistics that validate those claims.

@BarNone get out of here with your superiority complex. This is one of the few chill threads about race in TLR and you show your face making DEMANDS towards me like I'm your fukking paralegal or something? :heh: nikka, move around.

I agree, but the 72% OOW is significantly high, and there is still a sizable amount that are born to Black women without the father there, other than being back and forth in child support courts and on varied weekends and seasons of the year, that to men is still not a family unit, and I don't consider that as being there for the child "totally" so I don't want to trivialize that. But you're right on the other parts.
