They will identify as mulatto/mulatta, but Brazil is no longer majority white (51% of the country is mulatto or black), they are starting to wakeup and people are proudly claiming they are black.

So many beautiful brown faces, no city on this side of the globe has more black people in it than Salvador.
What about Pan-Africanism in Brazil?But we because of this, we should note that Brazil's census could possibly not reflect reality. For example those claiming "white" could have really looked black/mix. Which is why we see this happening.
