I seen "Infinity War" in IMAX, which had assigned seating. shyt was for me because a guy was sitting in my seat when I got there....told him to move....he moved, but still. And there was other people that was in the wrong seats, too. What's the point of assigned seating if the average person is too dumb to know where to sit?

I think it's to combat people sneaking into movies because it fukks up the theaters money as well since they get a cut from studios.

I don't think that's it breh. They actually lose a lot of seats when converting to recliners. We're talking rows worth. It's more to entice people to want to go to the movies again instead of waiting 2.5 months to see it on streaming.

You don't charge more for standard showings. 3D isn't mandatory. At AMC for example depending on the time of day I can see a movie for $5.xx

Breh this shyt is becoming a plague. There must have been 20 minutes of trailers before The Avengers movie. This shyt is so out of hand I don't know how we got to this point as a society. I get legitimate heated about how long these previews are now.

I really don’t understand the big deal

Just choose your seat right there at the counter or on line and relax.

I even came in late for Infinity War but my seat was perfectly there just waiting for me to sit in it.

Its getting that way. The theater closest to me was remodeled last fall with assigned seating.

Never had a problem with getting a good seat before though had a bad moment when I went with a friend last year to see Justice League.

Chick gave us the wrong area where our seats were (there's a upper A level and a lower A level )

Usher had us get up right after the opening credits to wait in the aisle for ten minutes to move to the right area.

No one told us we were sitting in their seats though they told the usher that they did told us to move and we refused

Missed the very end complaining to the fakkit for singling us out , making us look like some damn criminals .

Couldn't get over it days later so I went there after work and told the managers about it.

Gave me four guest passes

The same friend I went with to that movie went to see Super Troopers 2 a few weeks ago at the same theatre and a lady caught a seizure during the middle of the film . They paused the film for 15 minutes to get her out of the theater and gave him more passes for upcoming movies
