Ray Farmer seems like he had himself a good draft for the Browns. :ehh:
I know a lot of you were in love with dude. But when you have so many things wrong with your team i guess you have nothing to lose and can't help but be aggressive at the start.

Top needs: RT, G, DE, DB

Needs: B+
Value: B-

Summary: This was a really quiet draft class in terms of star appeal, but the Dolphins did a pretty solid job of hitting their biggest needs.Ja'Wuan James isn't a player many people know, but I thought he'd land here, and he did in a move that makes a lot of sense. The Dolphins need an immediate starter at right tackle, and that's James. Just plug him in and check it off.Jarvis Landry doesn't fill a major need at WR, but he's a really reliable target who catches absolutely everything. Billy Turner was a tackle at North Dakota State, but could fill another pretty big need they have at guard. Walt Aikenswill need some time as he makes a big leap in competition, but is a needed addition at cornerback. Jordie Tripp could offer help at linebacker as a guy who is explosive out of his drop and will play with passion. Matt Hazel is a sleeper at WR, and like Landry, has good hands. This draft was about Ryan Tannehill. Stop the constant sacks, give him a chance to take another step. I think Miami succeeded.

At first some people were selling me on Jarvis Landry as a slightly smaller but faster Oronde Gadsden. Which wasn't saying much because Gadsden was slow from what i remember. But after reading some scouting reports and watching some vids on the kid i'm less and les impressed with the PICK. notice i said the pick, not the player.

By that i mean i don't understand why we picked him when we have all these other receivers who can do the same things he does. He seems to be good in traffic: Matthews and Gibson do the same. From what I SEE, at best, he may be a faster, younger, Hartline. Is he merely an insurance policy in case Gibson and Hartline don't come back 100%?

I think there is a cut or trade coming and the Dolphins are preparing for it.

Yeah... I think either Hartline or Wallace could be gone if they don't look sharp in preseason. Hickey knows ownership gave him and Philbin just 2 years (just one really) to turn this shyt around so he's prepared to tear it down if needed to make an impact.

They wanna get rid of Wallace after this year or cut Gibson. I know this team , there almost like the marlins in a sense that almost after every free agent splash signing they make. They either cut or trade the player after 1 or 2 seasons....I just think you keep this offense in tact, utilize all 4 recievers and clay, with lazor working on tannehills mechanics, this offense could be sick. But I can see us cutting brandon Gibson cause of his contract/injury

Thats not true. Marlins d it to be cheap when they aren't going anywhere. We can say many things about the Dolphins ownership and management but they have never been known to be CHEAP. Huizenga has always handy with the checkbook. Ross doesn't seem cheap either. They may not necessarily know what the fukk they are doing but they've never been cheap about it.

And al lot of moves were good moves. Sh!t just haven't worked out. Tuna was a good move by ownership. Tuna just failed us. Nick Saban was a great move. Saban just wasn't ready for the pros. Jimmy was a good move. Ownership letting him name his successor was the mistake. Again a bunch of good moves that didn't work out

I agree with everything except Parcells. Parcells robbed money. You can't forget that he was giving NY Jets drafting advice while running our organization. He also gave us Ireland and the entire subpar Cowboys staff.

Sure, they'll make the free agent splash but they let go of dudes after a season or 2. I'm talkin about players Bruh, fukk coaches. Porter 2 years gone, Marshall, 2 years gone. Dansby 2 years gone. Bush 2 years gone. Watch Wallace 2 years..gone. We may make the big signing but rarely do these signing work out for us In the short or long term...it just doesn't. We cursed.

  • Porter was an a$$hole getting in trouble
  • I love Marshall but he was too Much trouble. I dont want him on my team.
  • Dansby was getting too much money to just be average like he was. Letting him go was the right move. Who we replaced him with was the mistake
  • Bush was given a 2 year contract and was never a long term solution at RB(neither is Miller btw)
We've had many free agents that stayed here. If they make sense financially, yes. If Wallace isn't living up to the money we gave him then I want him kicked to the curve too

Look around the league every team does this at the end of the day the salary cap is a very complicated science

Guys like bush, dansby were signed knowing they weren't gonna stay there full contracts it just how the nfl works

Marshall turned out to be a bad move but at the time it made no sense to be paying a guy that much when you don't got a qb and since they were going to start rebuilding anyways

We got all we could out of porter and cut him right on time

Exactly!

Any free agent on any team that got big money and isn't producing to that level typically gets cut or traded.

Sh!t i was ready to let Wallace go by mid-season last year. If he doesn't show up for voluntary workout AGAIN and has just and average year AGAIN I'll come down there my damn self after the season is over and demand he be cut from the team.
