its a damn shame that the people paid by our tax dollars to service the community gets a pass and a mentally challenged individual is supposed to bear the brunt of responsibility for not acting perfectly in the presence of the people who are supposed to be paid to service and protect her. kinda throws the idea of all cops aint bad out the window if we cant even expect the sick and challenged to get a special preferential treatment while being dealt with by cops. then if a regular man comes in and tries to help a mentally challenged individual the cops comes in and shoots them too.
how the hell did it get to the point where our lives meant so little that we would excuse police executions simply because a person talked back or has mental issues? while i thought the jobs of law enforcement was to diffuse situations in the most peaceful manner available it seems at it pertains to black people we have to be better trained to deal with the police than the police have to be to deal with us smh
And? That has nothing to do with what I said nor have I said her being shot was the only way to subdue her, though if she was really waving her gun around with a child in her arms I don't blame them.
I'm simply saying that coli posters don't need to act as if she was Assata Shakur when she kept a child in a 6 hour hostage situation.
Explain if you can
I thought the average 5 year old stays with their parents
How can you or even a cop know a person has mental issues?
What signs did she show?? or that you know of?
By not giving your child up in a hostage situation you're putting them in danger, the man got the one year old out of the house asap.
And sorry, it is a jump to say she has mental issues, but it's either that or shes just a selfish bytch who doesn't care about her child's life.

She was definitely OD, and boarder line crazy as fukk. But so what?
We seen police officer take down crazy ass white people without deadly force, why couldn't the same take place here.
I'm never one to make an issue about race but definitely if this lil boy was white those officers would have negotiated for much longer and not have shot him.
I can't blame her paranoia. This day and age ANY encounter I have with the police will probably be recorded.
Rip to her
Yah and we've seen them do the same with black people as well as the opposite with whites, it's never good to say "butwhatabout" in these situations when you're just taking singular events as a full picture to make comparisons.
Anyways I do agree that all encounters with police should be recorded as well, though I'm not scared for my safety.
