never had that happen. i definitely worked with other blacks who were the grew up around all white people and don't understand black solidarity, but never had someone trying to dog me or sabotage me. i get so happy to see other black people, unfortunately, not one other black person works in my office (there are a couple guys in sales so they're in the field, not in the office often) the shyt is so annoying

Lol. This. never seen what OP is talking about, it's always been the opposite.. On some finally somebody else who looks like me.

damn, what type of disresptful thing they be saying or doing?

I believe the owner is a closet racist. Things that have been said or done. He is at the least "crass".

He said, in front of a crowd of people that he'd, and I quote "would like to bend you over."

Now I can take a joke, so I responded "I'm sure you would." And the crowd went silent.

At a later date, I confronted him about it in front of his wife, one of the witnesses. And he said "I never said that."

To which I said "Yeah, you did, I responded to your comment."

Then he quickly back pedalled and said it was just an inappropriate joke.

All this after we had a meeting concerning my behavior after returning from work post stress related break down. (I guess my instincts kicked in and had enough of the bullshyt, that and I'm growing up.)

After I had returned to work I had seen these people's true colors. And I've been their enemy ever since. I was naïve before.

I told the other black guy in here (I was the one who hooked him up with this gig too.) That I looked his girlfriend's friend, J. I later told him I was talking a girl, T, out.

I find out later that J is mad at me. The nikka snitched. I can't trust him. I never went out with T.

He also made a joke in front of my boss: "these nikkas with they round heads."

To which I responded "I got it from working out in the field."

Took them a second to get it.

Another time the other artist in here, a white guy, was in my room while I was with a client and my sister. I made a joke "that's what she said."

And he responded "well when your hung like that."

To which I responded "I have no idea what your taking about sir."

Later I brought it up his I don't like being disrespected in front of my sister. He said he didn't know it was my sister and hope this wasn't a "tit for tat thing." To which I responded "no."

But the bullying continues. They catch feelings over my music. And literally everything I do. I know they all talk about me too.

The first (black) guy has gossiped to me before. And you know how snitches are.

There have been numerous accounts where information I give one person end up back to me through another person.

Fortunately, I'm better at this game than they are. And it's best that I do this solo.

Its because there are so few of us in the office, that when a new brotha shows up its assumed hes there to shadow and replace you. Every black professionals panic is for management to say

*hey have so and so shadow you*

He probably thinks you're there to take his spot. Ultimately though the work speaks for itself and 2 black professionals that handle business and make the company money can open the door to bring in more black people. (sometimes :whoa: )

I tried to come at some black folks with that we gotta look out for each other angle and they dont want it. I say fukk it and let um burn on their own. You cant squeeze water out of a rock.

And I know my employer doesn't respect the craft cause his favorite artist is also the worst.

And they keep boosting him while passing me over. Letting him fukk up people's skin. Which I find unacceptable and delusional.

I'm sitting here starving as the best in show.

I've already decided to leave. There's a better shop I've always wanted to get into and they are relocating (same building as a martial arts and rental car place).

So good luck to me.

not every black person is going to be your friend, but few people in general do not grasp the benefits of unity especially when it comes to doing anything for financial gain

then factor some black people will bow down to whites no matter what

I remember I was doing a real estate deal strictly to help some brothers getting paid, using my resources and network

and at the meeting they straight undermining my negotiations in favor of some fukk ass Russians who literally had zero leverage

these words literally came out breh's mouth is "we gotta do what they say"

which I promptly hit them with the:stopitslime: and just got up left, like yall do this without me

also had guys ruin deals because when they get around the white folks they start chucking and jiving thinking they can be buddies with these people, as if what they have will somehow trickle down to them based off association

at the end of the day, you gotta put yourself and your family first, building a legacy is the greatest thing a black man can do for the community right now

I'm applying on Sunday/Monday. Going to get some government assistance. (I'm an independent contractor.)

It's just a matter of time now.
