Crowder in the Cavs will be interesting.

I don't see IT getting 20 a game while LeBron is there, I think k LeBron won't trust his shots like he did kyrie.

This is gonna be interesting but I really think k kyrie is gonna take away shots from Hayward and that will cause a problem.

Kyrie is a special scorer though so I see why Danny pulled the trigger.

Boston is stacked with talent and crowder really wasn't gonna get shine with Tatum and brown there.

And IT was always talked about due to his height and lack of defense.

Overall I think cavs got the better end of the trade but Boston is good due to so much talent on the team.

Shumpert probably gon now.

Good move for the Cavs, I don't think the Nets will be the worst team but they'll be in the 4-7 range draft wise. Crowder is a decent piece for a contender and can be flipped after Bron leaves.

Let's set aside the roles IT (#1) and Kyrie (#2) have played for their teams the last few years...

Go look at the on/off numbers for the Cavs regarding LeBron. Unless IT is as bad as Kyrie in this regard, hard to be worse, then it's an improvement. I really don't need to get into anything else like Crowder, and possibly Zizic, filling a position of need or what the Nets pick could do... Stevens will make Kyrie a competent player without LeBron, but based on the data we have now dude shouldn't be considered better than IT.

Boston doesn't need to win now, they're waiting LeBron out. Age wise Kyrie is a better fit with Hayward, Tatum, and Brown also getting rid of Crowder gives them more playing time to develop. Based purely on assets the Cavs easily won this trade, but I understand why Ainge did it.

shyt is crazy to me. Kyrie is a top 10 player. IT put up numbers in a contract year and literally has to be taken out of games during crucial situations because he's such a liability on defense

I think nikkas just wanna shyt on kyrie but Boston looks really good on paper. They just need a big badly

except it wasnt in a contract year

well we can see lebron wants to run his small balllineup with better pieces.
not thinking back about that small ball lineup never worked in Cleveland and was exposed by san Antonio by actual x's and o's, when he was in Miami.

on well kyrie got liberated to Boston, and a much better lineup and backcourt with heyward and Tatum.

Boston still has not closed the gap tho.

This gotta be the best trade the Cavs could get for the long term, but it gives them less of a chance to win titles, especially next year.

If Gilbert is just saying, "fukk it, Lebron's leaving and no free agents come here so I need a squad for the future", then IT-Crowder-Love-TT is a fairly exciting core to build around and THEN they get a high draft pick on top of that. They'll be exciting, score a lot of points, probably make the playoffs...but they ain't fukking going anywhere unless they hit really big in the draft.

Next year, though...I ain't feeling IT at ALL. He's putrid on defense and it's tougher for him to score in the playoffs. I really don't see him as a championship piece.

The only way this works for title hopes next year is if they ain't done with the dealing. They'd have to flip Love and/or the pick for an elite 3-and-D guard to protect IT to even dream of playing with the Warriors.

Yup. This and the Nets pick. They can still make the offs without Bron in the season after next especially if they hit on the Nets pick.

Kobe got dem a good deal. :wow:

Isiah Thomas is like a poor man's Kyrie Irving. Such a dumb ass trade. Trading your assets for a slight upgrade. Ainge should of gone all in for PG.
Come on.

Who had a 40+ game in a do or die Finals situation? Who shot a decisive 3-pointer in a Finals game 7.. over the reg season MVP?

Right.

PG doesn't have Finals experience. Heck he doesn't have Conference experience.

Also: you heard it here first > PG the new Melo. Hugely talented offensive player who due to his production is dubbed the leader but who really isn't a leader or franchise changing playrr and who doesn't deliver when it matters in the Playoffs.

His own team mate didn't want to give him the shot. It's because (according to a spot that popped up during a Pacers playoff game this year) he is 0 of 15 when taking the game deciding shot.

Z E R O of 15.

Danny Ainge probably did similar comparisons with his team..

Great move by Boston. They just cleaned up their SF overabundance with getting rid of Crowder. They get a younger Pg in Kyrie and still have Hayward and Tatum.

Plus Brooklyn will most likely fall into that 15-20 pick range the way D-Loading is gonna ball out.

Cleveland is unfortunately still going to be running LeBron ball, but they now have Rose and Thomas. Two guys who usually control the offense, so will LeBron take a step back and allow them to work?
