It's going to be lit before that Cavs v. Boston is the first game of the season.

This is one of those rare deals that both teams get exactly what they need. Cavs get players to play with LeBron right now and can keep the cavs at the level they were next year while also a future asset for if LeBron does leave to go west. If IT leaves next season also they won't have to spend big money on him.

For Boston they get a younger pg with a little more upside while also clearing some of the glut at the SF. Tatum could be a stud and Brown could replace what Crowder gave them on defense. The fact they lost both Bradley and Crowder this offseason really worries me about the level of defense they'll be able to play on the wing. They did give up the nets pick which could easily be top 3 but it could also be much lower. The nets have no reason to tank since they don't have their own pick while teams like Chi, Indy, Magic all have more reason (and possibly less talent) to tank starting in December in hopes of getting a #1 pick.

Avery

Four of their five starters are out. And those were the heart of that team. And three of them were the heart of that team

Crowder in the Cavs will be interesting.

I don't see IT getting 20 a game while LeBron is there, I think k LeBron won't trust his shots like he did kyrie.

This is gonna be interesting but I really think k kyrie is gonna take away shots from Hayward and that will cause a problem.

Kyrie is a special scorer though so I see why Danny pulled the trigger.

Boston is stacked with talent and crowder really wasn't gonna get shine with Tatum and brown there.

And IT was always talked about due to his height and lack of defense.

Overall I think cavs got the better end of the trade but Boston is good due to so much talent on the team.

Shumpert probably gon now.

I legitimately don't get why people are saying this about Kyrie and not IT even though IT averaged almost 4 more points per game than Kyrie did, while averaging the same amount of shots Kryie did a first option, while not having a true #2 guy along side of him to help take pressure off of him.

Offensively, what Thomas did last year was insane, and I think it gets overshadowed by the other fantastic statlines that were put up last year.

Life long Celtics fan here. Losing IT and Crowder ain't no thang, but adding in that Brooklyn pick seemed like a bit much. IT talking about wanting a Brinks truck worth of a contract and Jae was good, but there will always be 3 and D type players to pickup.

Brooklyn pick likely won't be a #1 but it certainly could be top 5. They are an improved team in a weaker East after several big name players moved West, but adding the pick to that deal seems like too much.

It'll be interesting to see how Kyrie gels in Boston and whether Tatum/Brown can be those guys.

Also, let's hope the Nets win the ship this year. :troll:

IT had one of the best statistical seasons EVER. I think the hip thing may be a concern for his longevity people have retired for that same injury. But IT has had that completely let him do what he wanted offensively. Arguably he won't have same autonomy Cleveland. It's going to be interesting to see what Kryie can do having complete control over an offense. The one thing that no one can take from IT is his heart and determination idk if Kryie has that but we''ll find out this year.

It also brought a bunch of average cats to the playoffs

Has scored on horrible teams in sac and Phoenix

And Isaiah is from the Kobe mamba mentality it took a devastating Injiry to take him out

Kylie wont even play on a sprain ankle

Kyrie makes bigger shots and tends to score a bit easier or make it look easier to get baskets. no one will put IT over Kyrie as far as being a superstar.

Why would they do that?

That pick could be Marvin Bagley or Michael porter.

I wouldn't trade that pick at all esp for a 32 year old marc gasol

If the cavs can flip that nets pick for cousins or marc gasol. You basically just traded kyrie for gasol/IT, that definitely is a huge win for the cavs. But one thing to keep in mind is, if I'm the cavs I'm not flipping that first pick for an aging superstar like marc unless lebron resigns.

C- Gasol or Cousins
PF- Love
SF- Lebron
SG- JR
PG- IT

And there bench improved vastly with rose and crawdor who are 100 times better than Jefferson and deron. This squad can definitely take the warriors to 7 and possibly even win.

Lol score a bit easier, playing with LeBron does that. Scoring is easy as hell for Isaiah as well.

Bigger shots!

Raptors >>>Celtics

So if your Tyrone lue.. Do u start IT and rose together- In order not to get peoples egos fd up ( or do you test out roses theory that he only wants to win and push him to the bench) :jbhmm:

Jr has shown he embraces the 6th man role and probably wouldn't f up team chemistry as much if he gets pushed to the 6th

Lue has always said he wants his team to play faster in today's league..:manny:

On another note cavs totally raped Celtic in the short term.. Boston really gutted a successful squad that played with heart :martin:

to a squad with a quality pg and a front court with haywood and hortford:hubie:

i dunno if i even rank boston as a top 2 team in the east anymore :patrice:

How soon ya'll forget how dominant Kyrie was in the playoffs and in the finals against the best defensive team in the league. His scoring and efficiency went up. While IT's scoring dropped from 29 to 23 ppg and efficiency went out the window.
That's true. But I'm interested to see the impact of Lebron. Kyrie not having him and IT having him

Like I said, if lebron is leaving then hell no I don't trade that pic for an agin superstar. But if lebron is staying, you have no option to trade that pic for a marc gasol or cousins, a player who you can win with in the next
2-3yrs
