No.

Gangbangers don't come to school. There are cliques of kids that have gotten in fight.

And you'd have to define "a lot". The overwhelming majority of kids just want to go to school and have a happy succssful life, even if/when they act up.

Oh wow.

See I grew up in Kansas where gangbangers did go to school. .. Not Kansas City either mind you.

Security is in schools for a reason, not simply because of isolated incidences of violence either. To say other wise is being disingenuous.

You must teach at a good school. Good for you. A lot of schools around the country are struggling. Alot of young black kids are struggling the most. .. I want a discussion on that because we need to shift the tide.

Won't watch the video. I HATED how much of a hard time some students would give teachers, and I was in PRIVATE school most of my life.

Sometimes I wished they would have stomped a kid out and continued with class. Good teachers get ran the fukk off all the time due to curriculum concerns, overbearing administrations,
the fugazi ass "no child left behind" and what it does to kids, and the last thing they need is some knucklehead losing their shyt during class.

No, not all these kids are fatherless either. Some just need that boots-to-asses treatment.

Why can't we address both breh?

In no way should incidents like this take away from what happened to that young lady, but seriously...why can't we address both? As a teacher, I can tell you with confidence there is a crisis an education crisis.

We can discuss both and we should.

I'm here to discuss it with you.

What has been your experience as a teacher in schools?

This is from 2011? Hopefully someone reached out to the young men in this video to see whether or not they had ODD, or were experiencing PTSD. Obviously something was making them feel this way, and really the teacher could be the blame by antagonizing them or asking them to leave the classroom. Somebody has to worry about these young lads and what they go through.

You clearly have no experience with this type of behavior in schools. Kids that act like that usually dont have anyone at home who gives half a shyt about them so there is nobody to embarrass. What is the consequence you could give that kid that would hurt him? You suspend him and he gets free time out in the streets, you put him in ISS and he goes to sleep all day. Those kids just end up being bounced from school to school until eventually they are put out permanently or end up in jail.

I feel bad for the teachers that end up in those type of schools. They know going in to work day in and day out these the type of kids they will see and they wont really get to have a peaceful day at work.
CVS is not an alternative school. In fact when I was in HS it was easily the single largest High school on the Southside of chicago.
