A damning indictment on black american culture. Just damning. When people try to augment the 'black lives matter' conversation, by addressing our own behavior and what we do to each other as being just as important as white racism THIS is what we're talking about. Scores of black children and young adults, who are unchecked and unaccountable for their wild, out-of-control behavior is a necessary addendum to conversations about harassment, mistreatment, and bias from the broader society. Im so fukking pissed about this video, you have no idea.

This is just sad, I feel sick seeing this sister enduring such cruelty. Those kids need to be checked and they will be believe that but by our own. Let's not for one moment overlook what's going on. The media just like clockwork pushed this story in the forefront in the midst of the aftermath with the student and the officer in SC. There will be people outside and inside of our community looking at this paticular video and will try to justify what happened to that girl in SC. Also this story is being used as a propaganda piece to illustrate that black kids are savages and thugs and need to be dealt with in a aggressive manner. As I stated earlier let's look at the overall picture before we start condemning an entire group of people.

We out here on TV acting like sambos and buffoons for a few bucks while the white man and joos laughin to the bank at us. I get that it's entertainment at times, but the shyt is straight up minstrelity as well. Couple that with easily impressionable young kids, esp in the hood, and it's just an endless cycle.

Handling our black on black crime issues without just talking about it, but actually doing something is paramount.

The things is, black people ARE fighting to fix these issues. It's a myth that we aren't. Black educational and economic achievement is at its highest level ever. Crime and drug use down. If it wasn't black people who made this happen, then who did?

And i disagree with the thing you said about TV. In general popular culture is full of negative images, has nothing to do with just black people. I don't watch or indulge in most of that shyt, but I don't like the idea of singling out black people for it as if we are the only ones participating.

To me that strips us of our freedom. We all have to be amazing people, and follow some extreme code of perfect behavior, while everyone else has the freedom or privilege to be charley sheen if they want to.
