Chip the gm fukking over chip the coach. I mean how you gonna get rid of Deshawn and shady in back to back years?
Its because he good friends with Beilichek. They been running ideas off each other and talking football since his days in Oregon. No doubt he picked on the "Patriot Way" mentality about shipping players out who didn't go with program 100%. Only problem with that is he don't have Tom Brady. And like former Belichek assistants who tried to implement that style find out real quick without brady or an elite level qb that mentality doesnt work well. Josh Mc Daniels comes to mind.

With that said, I can never really judge a coach who doesn't have an all pro qb:yeshrug:. Its not like Nick Foles is tearing up the league in Stl.

And Andy Reid had all the talent people are mad at kelly for shipping off and still couldn't make the playoffs when he got fired either(and he has the cheifs playing well since he got there).:manny:

You are right about coaches getting 2nd chances and shining. Bellichek and Pete Carroll are perfect examples. First thing Chip needs to do is check his own ego at the door at his new job. His ego was his own downfall in Philly.

:what: So only 2 or 3 coaches out of the 32 in the league should ever be held accountable? Teams featuring Kirk Cousins, a shell of Peyton/Brock Osweiler, Teddy Bridgewater, Dalton/AJ, whoever the Texans are rolling out their at QB this week, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Alex Smith will be in the playoffs this year. You put a good system in place and bring in good players (since he was a GM too) and you will be successful. He didn't do that, period. There is more to the Belichek Way than just cutting nikkas, you gotta actually be a fukking genius in terms of strategy, player selection, and player development. Chip and others thought he was but he clearly wasn't.

The browns weren't just a bad franchise. Bill was their during the PRIME Browns years aka right before Modell snuck away in the night. Chip came into this franchise with an outrageous amount of offensive talent and gave it all away for Riley Cooper, an overpaid RB he doesn't even use, and some Oregon players.

Bill never had a chance in Cleveland. Chip was given everything to start and fukked it up. They're not the same at all.

No when I say all pro qb I mean qb's who are playing or have generally played at that level thoughought their career. So off the top of my head around 10 coaches can really be held accountable imo.:manny:

Fact is for the most part in this league if your qb is good you will be too, and vica versa. There are exceptions to this, and that's when coaching/ gm accountability comes in.
