Its because he good friends with Beilichek. They been running ideas off each other and talking football since his days in Oregon. No doubt he picked on the "Patriot Way" mentality about shipping players out who didn't go with program 100%. Only problem with that is he don't have Tom Brady. And like former Belichek assistants who tried to implement that style find out real quick without brady or an elite level qb that mentality doesnt work well. Josh Mc Daniels comes to mind.

With that said, I can never really judge a coach who doesn't have an all pro qb:yeshrug:. Its not like Nick Foles is tearing up the league in Stl.

And Andy Reid had all the talent people are mad at kelly for shipping off and still couldn't make the playoffs when he got fired either(and he has the cheifs playing well since he got there).:manny:

Chip Kelly and Bill Belicheck should NEVER be put in the same sentence.

And you most def can't give Brady all of the Credit for Beli Cause Bill won 11 games with sorry ass Matt Cassel.

Belli prepares better than EVERY coach in the NFL at every aspect Offence, Defense, Special Teams.

Where as Chip tried to bring a GIMMICK to the NFL.

And I HATE Belicheck.....

No when I say all pro qb I mean qb's who are playing or have generally played at that level thoughought their career. So off the top of my head around 10 coaches can really be held accountable imo.:manny:

Fact is for the most part in this league if your qb is good you will be too, and vica versa. There are exceptions to this, and that's when coaching/ gm accountability comes in.

That is a myth breh. People just want it to be all about the QB, because that is more fun to talk about. In reality having a well run organization and great coaching >>>>. Even if you stretch it to 10, your chances of getting that top 10 QB are still slim. So you gonna just keep coaches around for 20 years with 0 expectations until one finally appears?

People really sleep on this dude. While everybody else was :dwillhuh: after the DET/SEA ending earlier this year, you had former Patriots talking about they practice for that situation. Butler says that they practiced against the very play that SEA tried to run in the SB last year. He's always pulling out shyt that other coaches aren't even aware of, like in that Ravens playoff game last year.

Didn't chip kelly have two 10 win seasons with nick Foles?

Also, that preperation in every phase of the game part may or may not be true, there is no way to measure that but, I can't argue it either:manny:.

What Gimmick do you speak of:jbhmm: and please explain why its a gimmick.

You can do what you want. But in reality

The 10 Worst NFL Franchises Over The Past 10 Years

When was the last time these organization had an all pro qb?

Again there are exceptions however its pretty much true. I guess you could argue the good franchises have drafted better qb's.

Bingo. Quality QB play doesn't just happen purely off raw talent and happenstance. Quality orgs know how to find QBs (see the Packers going from Favre to Rodgers or the 9ers going from Montana to Young) and pieces to go around them and quality coaches know how to coach guys up and put them in the best positions. All the teams you listed had a shot at Rodgers and passed. Drew Brees was pretty good in SD, he hooks up with Payton and is a top 3 QB in the league. BTW Stafford fit your all-pro criteria one year. The Raiders had current MVP candidate Palmer. Bortles is a young beast. Bills had the same Ryan Fitzpatrick that is currently top 10 in passing TD.

Chips downfall(obviously minus the GM part), was his stubbiness to not expand upon his scheme. Difference between chip and Bill. Is that Beli is always looking to expand/change what he is doing. And fitting it around his personal.

Saban's a good coach who would have likely been more successful as nfl head coach if he'd had prime Drew Bree's vs Daunte Culpepper.

Thus never going back to college.

Would have been pretty interesting if Brees shoulder checked out for Miami and Saban. A lot of people forgot, Brees was no sure thing back then.

And Lions while stafford was playing all pro ball made them better than they had been in years. Eli bullied his way into NY. A lot of great organizations passed on Rogers likeyou said. And the colts literally got Luck.
Colts are a prime example to me that organization has dysfunction from the very top. They personel dept wasn't really that good imo. But Peyton was good for 10-12 wins a year so it didn't matter. Soon as he gets hurt they the worst team in the league, and Andrew Luck just sitting there waiting to be scooped up.

My point still remains if dont have an all pro qb with few exceptions your only going to be but so good. If you have one with few exceptions your more than likley a playoff contender year in and year out. No matter who the coach is:yeshrug:
