Its not the same thing because that only works when u luck up and division is complete garbage that year.

I mean, to me things like quality leadership can be masked by win/loss records. And your qb and how well he plays is the biggest part of your win loss record.

You have a 8-9 win team (sometimes 7) hosting a playoff game every year. We gonna have two this year. You got other teams running away with divisions that would only take 8 or 9 wins.

The bolded is clearly where we differ. I think the exact opposite, that quality leadership is the biggest part of your win/loss and that you qb can be masked or propped up by it and there are plenty of examples of this that I have listed. Always fun to engage and exchange thoughts and opinions.

Lowkey he still kind of did. One little aspect of his scheme that other teams adopted, mainly the Pats, changed the game forever. Problem with Chip is he thought his scheme as is was enough to continue winning in the league without continuing to evolve his system to stay ahead of NFL defensive schemes. So while the great teams used Chip's philosophy for a play or two here and there he still tried to live by it and subsequently died by it.

This dumb fukk had the pieces in place here all we needed was to build the defense, get the QB and add to the O line

His scheme could have worked if he just mixed it up and adjust to situations and game plan with/against specific player match ups (and obviously used professional run blocking schemes and run the ball down hill)

You can't line up in the spread every where anytime and any situation on the field
