Dominating? He routinely struggled to crack 42% from the field and 30% from deep. It took years for them to even make the playoffs, and when they did it was almost always a first round exit with him shooting 40% or worse on the series. Are you seriously trying to call the late 90's-early 2000's the toughest era ever? The entire eastern conference was complete garbage from 1999 until maybe 2004 when Detroit managed to win it all. His team's never cracked 50 wins after 2001 and his teams won a total of one playoff series after that too, in an east so bad that they won a conference finals where he shot 34% on the series.
A.I. was offensively dominating from the day he touched the nba. Why do u think Jordan checkin him was so hyped...he came in the league doin exactly what he don in college ...dominate offensively...was dominant to a champ level as a rookie, no, but he was a force to be reckoned with and everyone knew. And late 90's 00's compared to day is more physical and had better comp...Jordan won 96 97 98..Kobe came on from there basically add in Steve Nash mike bibby Jason kid Vince carter Tracey mcgrady kevin Garnett still healthy ray Allen baron Davis C. Webb grant hill grampa Jordan shaq d wade the big fundamental older David Robison older Akeem...should I go on...there was nothing extra soft about the late 90's early 00's

Oh and everything AI did in philly he did WITH NO HELPING CAST AT ALL

Struggling to shoot 40% and struggling to make the playoffs most of the time is most certainly not dominating. Your entire argument for the 90's is "handchecking :skip:". There was not a single great team outside of Chicago, and after them there was maybe 1 or 2 really good teams. Most of those players you named played on really shytty teams, and the fact that you mention Kobe being after Mike as opposed to Shaq says a lot about your utter lack of basketball knowledge. Hell you mention a bunch of guys who were hardly even productive until 1999 yet you're using them to hype up the 90's. As for having no help? Philly won the east in a series where AI had more shots taken than points scored. The term for that is called "playing like shyt".

nikka...if you gotta take ALL THE SHOTS for your team you'd have more shots taken than scored too:comeon:...and there is no correlation(or value meaning) to when I named shaq as opposed to mike bibby...I recognize the difference in value between shaq and mike bibby:comeon:...it's just a post not a basketball novel waiting to be published:comeon:And you said late nineties early 00's so if they were productive in 99 that supports my argument :comeon:and hand checking is not all I'm talking about...screens weren't used as wildly as they are today and wouldn't be officiated the way they are today either ...coaches demanded players stick with a guy on man to man not switch in picks...watch how pippen guarded the leading scoring opposing guards in games...phill was having him and d Harper pickin up guys 3/4 of the court away sometime full court...I've still never seen curry defended like that...the spurs still didn't even do that sat. night...it's different now:comeon:

I think too much emphasis is put on Iverson's fg %, given that he was the only legit scoring option while being the shortest dude on the court every game. And I don't recall the man getting a screen literally every time he crossed halfcourt like Curry does
Scoring 30+ a game with giants on your heels non stop is amazing regardless of a %....And his percentage did go up when he went to Denver with someone else to carry the load

What u said is exactly where I'm at...people can't go back and watch footage seriously so they start spouting numbers...AI was dominating period...his numbers are skewed cuz of his cast...but we ALL KNOW WHY AI GOT A SHOE NAMED AFTER HIM...DOMINANCE!

And we should also point out that iverson had a contract put out on him by all NBA refs at the time...the refs were told to call calls against him ....

Steph definitely doesn't have these kind of problems today:stopitslime:

AI is one of the GOATs:mjcry:

:what: U ok breh ?

Not once, not twice. 4 time NBA scoring champion. At 5'11.

As the sole defensive target on those Philly teams. This a guy who flirted with another scoring title playing with Carmelo Anthony:mindblown:

Almost never dipped below 26 ppg until he was like over 33 years old.

Yeah AI is second to only to Michael Jordan in playoff scoring per game but he ain't a better scorer than Steph :mjlol:

Scoring titles? :mjlol: People considered Melo the best scorer in the NBA for years and he had 1 scoring title to his name that he didn't even get until 2013. :russ:

Steph Curry is putting up 30 points on 50-40-90 shooting. Iverson could never dream of scoring that much on that elite efficiency. Iverson could score yeah but you can give any scrub in this league enough shots and they can put up big numbers too. I'm not impressed by him putting up 30 points on sub 40 percent shooting. :camby:

Not to mention putting up those big numbers didn't really amount to anything since he never won shyt. :russ:
