The syrian conflict is a geopolitical proxy war between the west and Russia.

The West wants assad out so they can build a gas pipeline from the Gulf states to Europe, thus circumventing Russia's erratic natural gas control and would CRIPPLE the Russian economy, possibly for good.

The Ruso-Iranian-Syrian Axis, recognizes that and wants their own pipeline from Iran to Europe.


Syria sits in direct line for both pipelines.

We should back the rights of the Kurds to have a UN designated Kurdistan, thereby solving an issue that should have been resolved decades ago.
