Kyrie and it's not even close.

I respect Draymond as being one of the most versatile and best defensive players the NBA has ever seen but it pretty much stops there. I don't really respect any other aspect of his game and think he benefits tremendously from playing with 3 guys who can all get hot and drop 50. A lot of young PFs have good ball skills and can shoot now, if you asked any of these guys to come to the Dubs, be the team's primary facilitator (yes it's Dray not Steph because they want Steph to score), and shoot the open pick n' pop three when you get it, they could probably put up Draymond numbers too. :yeshrug:

BAY AREAAAAAAA!!!!
Draymond's versatility is what puts him above for me. He can always defend, always rebound, and always pass no matter where you put him. Finding guys in the NBA who can score a lot is easy. To me Kyrie probably has the best handles ever and is one of the hardest one on one players to guard ever. He's an amazing scoring threat but what else? The only thing you can really name that Draymond doesn't do well is score. Which he doesn't have to do anyway.

Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
Draymond...

Kyrie has no impact on the game if he isn't scoring...

Kyrie and Draymond are basically the same tiered players...great as additional pieces but if either one is your number 1 option on offense you are going to be a bottom 5 team in the nba...
Like literally NONE :russheh: whereas Dray on the other hand has superior defense, great vision along with great intangibles. shyt you can't teach. this isn't even a good question it's Dray by miles.

Draymond is a better overall player. Offensive capabilites, defense, rebounding..

But I cannot deny Kyrie's fearlessness and willingness to go absolutely CLUTCH when needed.

kyrie is a great scorer who saved lebron's legacy. but guys who do nothing but score are a dime a dozen in this league. you could replace kyrie with melo for example, and nothing would change. the cavs would still have won the ship last year. perhaps they would be even better because of melo's experience.

draymond, on the other hand, is irreplaceable. he's had to be the leader of that gs team because steph, klay, and now kd are laid back guys who lack that killer instinct. not to mention he's the best defensive player in the league and a decent offensive threat who is capable of going off for 30+. put anyone else on gs in draymond's place and they wouldn't be nearly as good.

not saying draymond is better... because he wouldn't have the kind of impact he has now on any other team. just that it doesn't make sense to compare players without considering the context in which they play.
Outside of like a Blazers team which is just a shytty ass shyt version of GSW or a Nets, how many teams would have Draymond as their lead facilitator? That takes away his biggest benefit offensively. He doesnt have some elite scoring game, usually during his "dominating" scoring performances, he's ripping dudes from open 3s (i.e game 7) not actually beating guys off the dribble and shyt.

So you have a guy who as far as we know, doesnt create his own game off dribble, wouldn't be the lead facilitator on most teams, wouldn't be playing with as versatile defenders as GSW possesses (no other team I can think of really has the level they do from top to bottom on that end), there's just too much factors that would lead me to believe that most of the best things about Draymond would be nullified on most, if not every, team in the league

Why is there no Griffin vs. Draymond thread? I'd take Draymond. :mjpls:

I'll take him here too. Kyrie is a better scorer in every which way. Draymond is the better defender in every which way, the better playmaker(which is sad since Kyrie is a PG), the better rebounder, and Green has had plenty of clutch moments on the defensive end too.
