those schools are for networking purposes..

They're a gateway to Western schools - I went to school with a bunch of African students (Tanzanian, Nigerian, Ghanaian, Rwandan) - who all attended the same cadre of international schools. If you look at graduate schools especially, you'll realize the small network of students attending the most prestigious schools attended the same HS. Oxford, LSE, Harvard, Georgetown, Cambridge, Princeton, etc.

Looks like the kid is only interested in music... WTF you paying 21k for him to get music theory? Let him go be a struggling artist. Save your money. Problem solved.

Straight marks at least make you seem viable - everyone I knew that fought to do music theory was a star student.
