He was probably going to talk it out with his son, but then he walked in and saw his stupid ass lounging on the couch watching Boss Baby and that shiit probably set him off :mjlol:
:russ: these people don't know how little shyt can set you off. Maybe pops wanted to politic, with his rage and disappointment just brewing beneath the surface, but that lil nikka might have sighed too loud or something. Or pops might have glanced this nikka's pants hanging off his ass.
Nothing sets a father off than his son acting like somebody he is not. My son is only seven right now, the love of my life, but I can just imagine the pain and heartbreak if he chooses not to live up to what he's capable of. Pops in the video said dude was the eldest too - that's a type of hurt that hit different. Dudes don't know how different the relationship between a father and his first born is.

I whupped ass over fukking up at a free school so i ain't mad at this :ehh:
Quick google shows avg pay for a desk job in Zambia is $120 a month so $21k USD is several years pay in Zambia

Even free school isn’t really free depending on how you look at it. You pay a premium for a house/mortgage to get your kids into a good school and be around good hospitals

This also old school black folks talk. If you had black parents who grew up in the 50s and 60s and put a high priority on education they probably talked like that too.

Cause I know my parents would give the the riot act too for getting Cs. Talking about you gets Cs you can barely read and write. Yet you asking for some video games or jordans.
:russ: man. This was the dichotomy of me and my youngest brother. I'll never forget the day I brought home a 2.9 GPA in middle school and my mom whooped my ass something serious.

While my brother was a completefukk up. Just did not even try in school. Literally bringing home 1.0 GPAs. Little nikka still got Jordan's for his birthday. I'm sitting there watching like ain't this some shyt :gucci:

Pops shoulda been on top of things. That kid didn’t just become that way. That shyt happened over time. Shoulda instilled that work ethic and fear long ago. Not showing up for an exam? That’s failure of a parent for a kid to think he could do that. Pops is the one who should be getting slapped up.
I agree with you to an extent. Money is no substitute for (good) parenting. You need to be hands on with your kids. A lot of businessmen, whether for lack of time or lack of interest are not as involved in their kid's lives as they should be. They feel like if they are paying that kind of money, then the teachers are somehow responsible for delivering results for their children and not vice verse. The father had a rude awakening when he saw the results.

His frustrations are not just because he failed, but because he failed in an elitist institution. You would imagine that a lot of his friends and colleagues' children attend the same school and his having to resit while his peers are possibly flourishing is an embarrassment to him. Beating him might have been excessive but I can guarantee it would have left a mark on him, both figuratively and literally.

Yea, my father did not play when it came to education.

21k wasted; youngin got off light. Mama over there filming and kept telling him to stop beating him. Man, I understand that’s what a mom gone do, but I would’ve had to tell her to just go to the room and let me talk with my boys

it is what it is. To some of us this dynamic is nothing shocking. Luckily I never got to deal with those kinda situations since I was lucky enough to have a mom who actually taught me shyt before I even set foot in a school yard. By the time I started first grade I was about 2-3 grades ahead of my peers in knowledge. That helped give me momentum and actually do well all throughout primary and high school. Even became one of the top high school seniors in the country :ehh:. All that was achieved going to a bottom of the barrel school that cost $10 a year where I shared every school textbook with 6 other nikkas.

I always say this, If you don't drill the importance of education and that desire to learn on your kids before age 5-6, its a wrap. you might as well hope and pray that they have natural smart. But even that may not be enough at the high level if they were never taught the art of staying motivated even at the hardest times.

Willing to bet these expensive African schools are ass. This grading system is abysmal.

More abysmal than an american school :comeon: :unimpressed:

No offense to the kid but judging from the way he sits and holds himself, he looks like he has the demeanor and swag of a loser/nincompoop :francis::mjlol:

:scust:Not even trying to be funny or start shyt this is a legit question but was your father in your life and are you black?
I am a Black Jamaican and yes my father has been in my life for going on 27 years now. Never has he put his hands on me, or even threatened to. There are other ways of getting your point across besides violence, especially with a (damn near) adult male.
