Brian Hoyer perhaps. Would come cheap. Has the connection to MacCagnan through his Houston ties. Romo I think has better options than the Jets and no one seems to want Cutler.

Hoyer is not good imo. Career journeyman.
Look at the 2017 FA QB class. It's a wasteland. Best guy available is Cousins(who will undoubtedly be franchised again if WAS can't agree to a LTE with him). Other than that.. who you want? Matt Cassell? Landry Jones? Blaine Gabbert? The only guy you'd have to look at is Mike Glennon who might have some upside.
Save some sort of huge splash they should be forced to play Petty or Hackenberg and let them sink or swim with their picks. There's no point in bringing in another journeyman after a failed season. This nonsense I hear about "QB Bridge" is a kick the can self preservation maneuver.
Hackenburg is so bad he can't even dress for games. They've already told you what they think about Petty when they decided to play Fitz over him. Neither one of these guys is an option for 2017

They don't want him. Even if they did want him, I doubt Geno would want to come back with the way he's been treated here
