There's also the possibility that Petty and Hackenberg are that bad, too. Fitzpatrick did get benched you know. (and Bowles' in game conservativeness has driven me crazy)...but I think his hands are tied with the QB's. Petty and Hack both suck ass is the most logical reason at this point.
I'm telling you, stranger things have happened. Look at it this way: They've made it clear Petty fukking sucks and Hackenburg is light years from even being able to dress for games. If they can't trade for Romo or sign Cutler or Glennon, who is the QB next year? Plus Bowles always brings up winning 10 games with last year's crew... I would not be shocked if he's back.
Penn State also suddenly becoming good is alarming.

I know $6M is a lot of dead money to have sitting on your cap, but you can't bring Revis back next year. He can't cover the way he used to and moving him to safety isn't a remedy since he no longer seems to want to stick his head in there and make tackles anymore. Good luck, God bless on your next team. We are bad and expensive at the important positions. I dont even know where to begin with this team....
They're projected to be over the cap already in '17(not that it matters, they can always restructure/cut guys) and need massive upgrades at almost every position on the field.
They need to hit big on a bunch of their draft picks this year. They need a huge influx of young cheap talent, otherwise 2017 is gonna be a long season as well
It's almost tempting to let Bowles/Maccagnan sink or swim with either Petty or Hackenberg(spolier- they'll sink) and just blow it up again after 2017 with a top 5 pick.
The only pick over the last two years that seems to have any promise is Williams. Lee looks meh, Mauldin stinks, Smith seems to be a bust and I havent seen Jenkins do anything. The Temple receiver Anderson looks ok I guess.
