The more time goes by, the more I really want Kizer.Depends which QB they like and who's available. My gut says Maccagnan will go for the hail mary to try and save his job.
But I highly doubt he'll be available though

Everybody has to start from somewhere and its good they're thinking outside the box instead of goinh for the hot hire or repeating the same coaches.
I like that he has experience on defense, because to truly understand offense you gotta understand defense, and to understand defense you have to understand offense.
Do you think the Jets would have any interest in trading up to #3?
Any idea what they will be targeting?
Here's my thing. John Elway has a proven track record as a quality FO man. Studesville has been their RB coach for the past 6 years. No one's approached him for an OC job before now? Elway had an opening at OC, was he even an option? They surely ran back to McCoy as soon as he was available
I get that he's black and that can sort of red flag him from a lot of opportunities but I don't see how he's this awesome get. Sounds more like the Jets OC job is one they can't give away and they'll take anyone who is reasonably competent
Sometimes it's hard to spot that diamond in the rough, and nobody is perfect, so yeah Elways has a good track record, but he fukks up too. You can't let other people who have good track records affect the opinion of yours, that's why we all have a brain to think for our self, which is good.
Also, a lot of these higher ups and coaches are really not that bright, if they were you wouldn't see the same terrible coaches in the league
Ehh, consider me unimpressed if they hire Studesville. Other than the interim job, he's been a RB coach for 20 years. Peter Principle in effect? Who knows.
Alabama edge rusher Tim Williams has been one of the top senior talents in college football for the 2017 NFL Draft throughout the 2016 season. Williams was a potent pass rushing weapon for the Crimson Tide, as he totaled almost 20 sacks in two years while not even playing a full-time role. In the scouting community Williams is a consensus first-round talent, however team sources believe that Williams could easily slip to the second day of the draft. The reason for that is many failed drug tests, and some team sources have said that Williams substance abuse issues are very serious in the realm of Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory.
Gregory was one of the top physical talents for the 2015 NFL Draft, but he fell to the second round because of drug problems and repeated failed tests. Sources say that Williams' issues with marijuana are comparable to Gregory. Three different team contacts all said Williams problems were similar in their severity to Gregory. In late September, Williams had an arrest for carrying a pistol without a permit. Alabama suspended him for the first half of the game against Kentucky as a result, but he was fortunate to avoid other suspensions, as sources say he failed many drug tests. That leads teams to have concerns that he will land repeated suspensions in the NFL like Gregory.
Also hurting Williams' chances of going on Thursday night is there are a number of edge rusher candidates to consider in the back half of the first round and into the second round. Players like Stanford's Solomon Thomas, Missouri's Charles Harris, Illinois' Dawuane Smoot, Michigan's Taco Charlton, Florida State's Demarcus Walker, and Wisconsin's T.J. Watt. Teams have other options to strengthen their edge rush without taking a risk on a player with serious off-the-field concerns like Williams. Numerous teams said they would not take Williams in the first round because of the suspension concern, and they would consider Williams on the second day of the draft. As a result, a lot of team sources believe Williams could slip to Round 2 like Gregory.
I know @Trip is high on this guy, but after reading this I definitely wouldn't touch him

I'm not a fan of Trubisky, but I wouldn't hate it either. Cam Robinson at 6 is a reach, if we're gonna pick him I want us trading down. I'm not as high on Cam after watching more film. I like Humphrey, so I'd be cool with that.I think they'll take Trubisky if available, Robinson or Humphrey.
A dark horse would be Mahomes II. Project but I think he'll be the best pro QB of any drafted this year
Eh, I'd usually agree. But smokescreen season doesn't usually start until after the combine. Plus his arrest and drug usage has kinda already been out there.Smoke and mirrors. It's pre-draft process so a lot of teams are throwing out smoke n mirrors, so they can get the player they want.

Gregory's drug problems surfaced during the draft process when he failed a test at the combine.well yeah if he's got a drug habit he's toast
We didn't know enough about Gregory all you could really go on was his on the field stuff
This draft is deep with CBs. We could find good ones in Rounds 2-4.either of the two deshauns are fine with me......trubinsky is another gwh like wentz...........after that we need a corner to replace revis......
