But Espinoza said they offered Pacquiao $40 milion dollars PLUS 35% of the upside and Bob "wouldn't budge"
Which is more believable?
:lupe:

Where anywhere in there does it say Bob Arum has AGREED to anything? It just confirms what Espinoza said they HAVE been talking to TR:sas1:

Besides....you do know that CBS = Showtime right?:mjpls:

Bu-bu-but, how could Espinoza speak on behalf of Mayweather?:mjcry:.....aint that what you said?:sas2:

Apparently, Espinoza has been in discussions with TR, since August (3 months ago like he said), but nothing has been agreed to yet even though 40 million and 35% upside was offered:wow:

Moonves, through a CBS spokesman, declined "out of respect for the privacy of the talks," to be interviewed about his involvement in Mayweather-Pacquiao talks. So did Mayweather and Stephen Espinoza, the Showtime vice president who runs its sports division.

"We can confirm that Floyd Mayweather definitely wants the Pacquiao fight," a Showtime spokesperson wrote to The Times in an email. "Everyone on our side — Floyd, CBS and Showtime — is advocating for the fight to happen."

Bu-bu-but, Espinoza was lying:damn:

:russ:

So, is Manny gonna accept the fight or what? He's spreading :duck: about Mayweather avoiding him, while it comes out that Mayweather been gave the Green light on this fight and CBS/Showtime already gave an offer 3 months ago:wow:

If they didnt give that offer, why would Espinoza lie and possibly destroy negotiations and be the sole blame?:sas1:

He's NOT lying:ufdup:

They still have the hurdle of co promoting a PPV with two Rival Networks. Espinoza in that aspect isn't going to be involved and or be in charge of putting that together.

And if the offer was 35% upside, what is Mayweather's upside?
If it is 65/35 I wouldn't blame Pacquiao for hardballing 50/50. This fight takes two to tango, no other fight remotely gets any fighter near this payday. Split it and dont make that the hard part of negotiations. Make the networks figure out how to promote it.

He would, being that he runs Showtime Sports like Ken Hershman runs HBO sports. Jeff Bewkes is the CEO of Time Warner (who owns HBO) and Leslie Mooves is the CEO of CBS (who owns Showtime)

If Leslie Moonves is involved, that means this fight is going to get done. That's because a lot of money is being thrown around and the details are actually being ironed out. It's also a lame way for Arum to get more people to see the Algieri fight.

And what if the fight could end up on CBS instead of PPV? :ohhh: If they can generate enough ad revenue, this PPV could be a bigger fight on Network TV than it could ever be on PPV. Imagine all the build up with ads during Sunday Football. They could get 100 million+ viewers.

So basically what you're trying to insinuate is that Manny's ducking because he said Floyd is avoiding him... But anytime Floyd has been put in front of a camera and asked about a Pacquiao fight its always been, "he still got Marquez problems" "refuse to do business with Arum" . when Bob announced that they were currently in talk for the fight, everybody said he was just posturing and trying to use Floyd name to hype up his upcoming fight... when Floyd was asked about he said it was "all lies".. when his father said he thinks the fight will happen, he was thretened to be fired.. You're obviously baised and cant be objective about the discussion. .

Showtime doesn't = CBS.. If the head of CBS is brokering the deal, Espinoza is probably not involved.. HBO and CBS are negotiating. I refuse to believe you're that stupid to think Bob and Pacquiao dont want the fight... All based on a Vague tweet about Arum "not budging" whatever thats supposed to mean
