Yea, he lost 92 Karstarks, he had to fall back

Knocked a nikka off his feet, but he's crawling back :whew:

I just can't get behind his decision to put Stannis on the throne, especially in retrospect. although I'm not sure what alternative plan was desirable either...

stannis may be a douche but i think he's hte most fit to rule right behind danyres imo...if he ditches dat hoe witch melissandra he can actually be a decent king..he's smart..strong willed and his men seem to be inspired by him..vs robb who can't even control his supporting houses and family members and where half his banner men just abandoned him..vs joffrey the sadist...i can kind of see need support a pre-corrupted stannis before he was mind controlled by that witch..renly seemed too green, emotional and idealistic for nedd to support

Ned as king with Renly as hand would have been the perfect situation. Ned is a more virtuous version of Robert, and Renly has Robert`s gifts of charisma. Too bad it wouldn`t have been the right thing to do in accordance with the laws.

Robb doesn't even want to be king. He wants justice for his dad and to rule the North.

I dont have the slightest clue. Maybe because, aside from Twyin, Tyrion is the smartest Lannister. Or maybe Petyr was just looking for a scapegoat to put things into motion. But then again, it would be kinda silly to assume that because how would Petyr know Bran would find Cersei and Jaime fukking, which in turn led Tyrion to hire an assassion to kill Bran using that blade? Littlefinger has foresight, but not that much :whoo:

little finger da gawd..:ohlawd::ohlawd::ohlawd: wowow...but it would be interesting to see his motivations for offing tyrion..like i don't think joffrey would off tyrion..if he wanted to off tyrion he'd be dead by now..especially the fact that he's not even hand of king anymore

I think of the game LittleFinger was playing pinning the knife on Tyrion. we never really found out what actually happened :ohhh:

I was thinking bout the same thing a few weeks back. The story just kinda abandoned that plot setup. But it was smooth tho cuz it was like more important things were happening that made it seem irrelevent.

:dwillhuh:

I completely forgot about that.

Can't believe they abandoned that, cuz that's a huge question mark to me. Tyrion wasn't even a player at that point, why would LF want him dead? Any book readers care to jump in (provided there's no spoilers involved of course)

well the witch is why I mentioned "in retrospect". everyone told Ned why Stannis wouldn't be a good choice, and they didn't even really know the worst of it

"vs Robb' is besides the point

breh LF and Varys are just as unpredictable in the books as in the show :to:

i be having to go back and re-read his chapters with the :whoo: looking for any slick shyt he might have pulled

the author rarely if ever shows us what those two are thinking :wow:

nedd pretty much has to pick the least of all evils..none of the so-called claimants of the throne were spectacular candidates

I think LF just wanted to fan the fire between the Starks and Lannisters. but it begs the question of what really happened, and how much he knew about it

slight spoiler/clue from the first book: (the problem with this kind of stuff is you never know if they're planning on using it later in the show)

in the first book, Tyrion points out that he would never bet against his brother

Oh OK, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something we missed in the show (like Cersei telling LF to take have Bran killed)

Now that I think about it (and I think I've come to this conclusion in the past, as well) I think LF did it just to make sure shyt popped of between the Lannister's and Starks.

shyt, the Lannisters may have had nothing to do with that second attempt on Bran's life.

But how would Littlefinger have found out about Bran getting pushed out of a window and acted so quickly if he was in King's Landing? :dwillhuh:
