Help, I got a lien on my property

You can and use the proceeds to pay the lien. This would all be handled at closing. You would need a letter from them stating they will release the lien once funds received and give it to title and buyer.. Contact the lien holder and try and settle with them. This is why even if getting property/ land from family you need to do a lien search.

I just tried to talk to her about next steps because I'm supposed to close in two weeks. She said I was rushing and was trippin for saying I was going to see if I could settle directly with the lien holder

She said she had options but wouldnt say what they were nor would she give me a timeframe

Hopefully the bank is easier to deal with than her
