Breh I'm assuming you watched damn near all of his games. What can we expect.

Some observations I've noticed is that his handle is a lot better than I would expect from a forward. He has 2 guard level handle in terms of getting to the paint, which was hard to notice cause they played him at the 4 and shyt. He hustles and is kind of a energy spark plug. maybe a bit too live wired.

His FT shooting is kind of a problem and his 3 point release looks mechanical to me at least. Like it looks like someshyt that he knows is a weakness and has been working his ass of on it but it still looks mechanical. He might jump a little too high on that jumper too IMO. He also don't look like he has those long arms those elite defenders tend to have.

He has a better handle in the open floor than given credit for. I don't like him creating shots for himself in isolation situations. He'll be an elite transition player one day because he can handle, pass and finish and play off ball. He can handle a bit in P&R but our bigs were terrible and would routinely drop his passes.

His shot obviously needs work but he's removed some of the hitch from when he left high school.

Defensively he competes and gives it all. Philly will love him because he competes. Not like just tries hard like an untalented doofus. He wants to kick your ass and let you know about it. He'll remind you guys of Embiid but he can struggle when guys are bigger than him and quick. He can beat off the bounce. He doesn't have long arms only has a 6'10 wingspan but he knows how to play the passing lanes incredibly well.

I think he could maybe be a secondary handler one day but with Ben Simmons and whoever else you guys add I don't see him getting that opportunity.

I'll take Ball, Fultz, Jackson or Fox..
Either way we SHOULD be getting a good player at 3..
Colangelo would have to be trying to fukk it up to fukk it up..

Embiid
Saric
Simmons
TLC
Fox/Fultz/Ball

or

This.

Praying that somehow the celtics pass on fultz
It wouldn't shock me if the Celtics love Jackson over Fultz. Ainge always views things different that what people expect. He liked Durant over Oden. He picked Jaylen Brown when people thought he would take Dunn. He picked Rondo over Marcus Williams.

Lakers are taking Ball.

So in that scenario Fultz will be there.

However, ask yourself this. If the Celtics said they'd give you the #1 pick for the #3 pick and Saric would you do it?

:patrice: Idk breh. That's tempting. We got multiple picks the following year. We can always find a shooter or two

Assuming Fultz and Ball are out. (Not interested in Ball anyway)

The guys I'm focusing on are:

Josh Jackson
Malik Monk
Dennis Smith Jr.

Jackson is the preference out of these 3, I like his defensive potential and his overall play style reminds me of Wiggins a lot but in a lesser form. Great athleticism, can play off or on the ball and should become a better shooter in time. Surprisingly a good playmaker and should be played at the SG spot long term. But his 56% FT percentage worries me.

If I had to make the case for Monk, I would just say that the boy can ball. Sixers are in dire need of someone who can just put the ball in the basket and besides Fultz no one is better at doing that than Monk. Excellent off the ball player who isn't too ball dominant and can score. However I see a little Terrence Ross in him and being undersized at SG is a problem.

With Dennis Smith Jr, I am pretty high on him more than most people. I think he gets lost with the other names in this draft. A solid all around option at PG who can do everything at a nice level. Still uber athletic despite the acl tear that takes a few years to fully come back from. I am confident he could be a great option at PG while not being too ball dominant. But taking a chance on a guard with an acl tear is risky though .

I like De'Aaron Fox personally but I don't think he fits our team as currently constructed. It's gonna be interesting. :patrice:

Josh is the clear cut pick at #3. No overthinking here, he will clearly be the BPA. Don't fukk it up doing nonsensical shyt.

I mean, if they're definitely letting Ben run the point, grab Jackson & put him at the 2 or 3. If they're going to play Ben in more of a LeBron/Giannis role, pick Fox/Monk/Smith Jr.. Or Ball/Fultz if we're lucky enough to have one of them fall..

Are you sure the coach even has a plan for Ben at this point (no pun) :francis:

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't let Simmons run the point and still takes Jackson. Common sense says do what you suggested, but...

All the coach has been saying is he's putting Ben at the PG.. I mean....:yeshrug: Is anything else needed at this point?
