A man who had worked as an instructional aide at a middle school and a track coach at a high school in Southern Maryland now faces a total of 206 charges in a child sex abuse investigation.

On Friday, Carlos Deangelo Bell, 32, of Waldorf, Md., received his third indictment from a grand jury in Charles County. It includes previous allegations and charges for “additional victims uncovered during the ongoing investigation,” according to a statement from Tony Covington, the state’s attorney for Charles County.

In this latest indictment, Bell is accused of abusing 28 alleged victims who have been identified and another 14 victims who have not yet been identified, officials said. The alleged abuse happened over a two-year period from May 2015 to June 2017 and the victims’ ages at the time of the offenses ranged from 11 to 17.

Charges include sex abuse with a minor, second degree sex offense and other counts related to child pornography.

Bell is HIV-positive. Officials said they do not believe that any of the alleged victims have tested positive for the virus.
