Bulls taking Patrick Williams at #4 set the franchise back for years. I didn’t like the pick at the time, and it made no sense to me considering he didn’t even start in college and averaged single digits in ppg.

Defense, they are a wash.. They are both speed PGs that push pace. One player (maxey) shoots 48% from the field with 43.6% from 3, and has a 3.7/1 AST/TO ratio, and he has 7.1 AST this year with 1.5 TO. The other is shooting 51% but with 32.6 3PT%, and AST TO over two being 6/2.4, and this year being 5.4AST to 1.9TO... Sixers are better then Kings this year (so far)

26 (Foxx) to 23 years old (Maxey).. Better by a slim margin yes, but Id rather have Maxey than Foxx.. Foxx also has 32% usage, vs Maxey being 25.7 this year.

Playing with Joel can help your Assist numbers, I don't know how Embiid helps your scoring and shooting numbers, or limits your turnovers.. The Guard taking maxey, is not collapsing on Embiid. They are not running switch pick and roll where Embiid should get huge credit for Maxey points,,

Maxey scores making 3s, and pushing tempo on fast break.. That is why him and Fox are comparable..

If you want to make an argument for what you said, state Tobias Harris fast start.. But then you have to talk that any other option is Melton/Oubre and then Paul Reed, Washed Covington (offensively), Tatum (about to retire)....

Meanwhile, Fox has Sabonis (a really good offensive big), Monk (great offensively), Duarte, Huerter.. All solid offensively.. Their offensive teammates are extremely comparable to me (and I welcome an argument for anyone to say supporting staff, that Sixers are significantly better then Kings.. Other then a simple Embiid>>> all players in NBA except Giannis and Jokic)

A lot of this talk is hindsight as there was no consensus #1 pick in that draft. Even Minny didn’t feel comfortable making the Ant pick, but couldn’t find equal value to move it.

It was Ant, Melo, Wiseman and then everyone else that could have went in any order.
