I have watched breaking bad twice now and Jesse Pinkman popularity with the fans of the show still baffles me

The first time I watched it , I kept scratching my head to understand what made Jesse popular and I simply couldn't see it then I rewatched it again a few years after the season finale and I hate the character even more.

Whiny, dumb, emotional and wreckless cac gen z who kept fukking up and causing most of the issues
the crew had on the show:hhh:

His acting wasn't anything oscar worthy either, just basic.

I'm I the only one that doesn't get the appeal of jesse on the show
:camby: with the boolded. walt was quite obviously the heart of the show, He literally "broke bad" The concept and literal name of the show is based on Walt breaking bad.

Jesse was already a criminal (low level drug dealer) before Walt started the operation.

Also I feel like the venn diagram of fans of jesse and King Joffrey is a perfect circle

Some people just like annoying, overbearing and unlikeable characters talking about "He/she played that role so well"
Apparently, you need to rewatch the show a third time, because you didn't understand it.

Walt is a malignant narcissist, his ego is what causes all the problems. Walt, unlike Jesse, doesn't understand the rules of the game and is incapable of just playing his part. He wants to dominate and control, but since he doesn't understand the rules, he always fukks up. He ruins everybody who deals with him, starting with getting the janitor at his school arrested and fired and culminating with destroying the empire Gus Frings meticulously build over decades, getting his brother in law killed, losing his family and murdering Mike and his associates.

Jesse, along with Marie, is the moral core of the show. He is guided by a moral code and loyalty, is supportive of others and the only one among the criminals who has a conscience.

it's the character arc, who he is... just a low level drug dealer being thrown into a shytstorm situation...:heh: and he's kinda likeable... unlike walter who is very likeable at first but becomes a fukking demon

A rewatch of this made me less sympathetic for Walter. Dude was too damn prideful to do business with someone else and decided to get into the drug game :francis:

Jesse always playing the victim when Walt literally saved him from a long ass prison sentence in the first episode. That skinny little white kid woulda got turned out in prison and the 10 year or longer sentence would have fukked his life up, too. I hate that character.
10 years in jail would be better than what he went through with Walt

Devil’a advocate Walt fukked up not letting Gus kill Jesse after they killed Gale and then had to break bad completely to stay alive when it looked like Jesse was ok with Walt being killed later since Mike was a better father figure to him.

Walt did some horrific shyt but if the bytch wide didn't give his savings to her side dude AND if he didn't have to save Jesse so many fukking times. He might have stopped before he became the kingpin.

Honestly when Jesse was with his addict bytch Walt should have left him to his own devices. They would have both been better off.

Walt was a piece of shyt but when it came to Jesse, Saul, and his Wife (via giving his money to her side dikk), they only made him worse. Every other character got dragged into Walt’s bullshyt against their will or can point to them being worse/dead from doing business with Walt.
