I have watched breaking bad twice now and Jesse Pinkman popularity with the fans of the show still baffles me

Walt was a piece of shyt but when it came to Jesse, Saul, and his Wife (via giving his money to her side dikk), they only made him worse. Every other character got dragged into Walt’s bullshyt against their will or can point to them being worse/dead from doing business with Walt.
Walt didn't drag Skyler into it against her will?

He is a degenerate. But Like mentioned, he went through alot. At the hands of walter. And much of it unwarranted or at least not to that degree.

Theres isnt a really likable character. Even the disabled kid was annoying and lil bytch.

The only character worth a damn was the old retired cop turned muscle for gustavo and saul.

Have legit watched BB at least 6x start to finish. Agree Jesse could be annoying and was not the main draw but it worked well enough to create one of the best tv dramas of all time and that's good enough for me

jessie pinkman is the deuteragonist of the show. he plays a part. youre supposed to think hes an idiot, because for the most part, he is. however he has the empathy that walter lacks inside and becomes the 'heart' of the show so to speak: walters final act was freeing him from the nazi meth gang that was playing with his butt at night.

Jesse is the meth world mediocre CAC who levels up for not being remarkable at all aside from being the best of his burnout crew who stopped hitting the pipe long enough to cook with Walt.

But Walt had to hold his hand through everything.

Jessie gets the girl and loses focus 2.1 seconds later because now he has pųssy and a meth buddy all rolled in one. Walt — knowing this is bad for business — let her die and Jessie goes off the deep end.

Still, he’s frustratingly annoying but not that close to Marie, Skylar or “Flynn”.

If Jessie played his position and was a competent character he could’ve written his own exit just simply by being younger.

Agreed
also never got the hype behind the Fly episode

The best thing about Breaking Bad to me was the Gus Fring character. Wish they fleshed him out more and didn't jump the shark with his death. I never watched it before but I heard he's in Better Call Saul too. I don't know if it's worth watching a whole series just for a side character tho :lupe:

The first time I watched it , I kept scratching my head to understand what made Jesse popular and I simply couldn't see it then I rewatched it again a few years after the season finale and I hate the character even more.

Whiny, dumb, emotional and wreckless cac gen z who kept fukking up and causing most of the issues
the crew had on the show:hhh:

His acting wasn't anything oscar worthy either, just basic.

I'm I the only one that doesn't get the appeal of jesse on the show

I’ve already EXPOSED Breaking Bad for being a cartoon and essentially a cac cartoon version of Snowfall :mjlol:

They are essentially the same story but Snowfall had BETTER all around acting. BETTER performances. BETTER characters. BETTER cinematography. And told a BETTER version of the story.

So where does Breaking Bad have it beat outside of an "I'm white and I say so"? :mjpls:

If it wasn't for the majority of characters in Snowfall being black it would have EASILY CLEANED UP with awards like how Breaking Bad did :mjpls:

And I better NOT hear ANY bullshyt about "tHe wRiTiNg wAs bEtTeR" when it was a GLORIFIED fantasy superhero show :mjpls:

:laff:@ a High School teacher taking down a CARTEL LEADER and his entire network

Damson and Amin Joseph MATCHED Cranston.

The only good actors in BB were Cranston, Mike and Gus.

Did Aaron Paul do anything other but cry and scream? :laff:

The secondary actors in BB did not act better than the ones in Snowfall. Remember Jesse's non acting crew and Gomezs non acting ass? :mjlol:

:mjtf:The character development was superior in Snowfall because it WASN'T a cartoon like BB. It actually had an element of realism because it was based off REAL EVENTS.

Scope better than Snowfall? Snowfall which literally took place in multiple nations and contained a CIA vs KGB war? :russ:

Breaking Bad was a cartoon and actually closer to power :mjlol:

You have a High School teacher bossing up on the cartel :mjlol:

This scene

Is literally a Cac males FANTASY :mjlol:

If Breaking Bad had a black cast it would be viewed the same way as Power.

You just described most cacs in America and tbh they nailed that role right. Growing up in a cac majority neighborhood when I was a teen there were plenty of them and they can relate to his character.

Walt didn't make her give his money to her fukk boy side piece against her will.
Walt got Skyler involved the second he decided to cook, had associates and enemies coming to the house.

What would've happened if she didn't give Ted the money to pay off the IRS? The company would've been audited and likely, anyone else involved with the accounting would've been audited as well. The "Walt won a bunch of money gambling" wouldn't work. Walt making $60k at a public school and was working at a car wash to make ends meet, Skyler just started working 3 months ago, but now they got two new cars in the driveway and bought a car wash cash?

I would even argue that, crawl hole scene is the exact moment he went full evil.
Creator of the show said Walt broke bad the moment he turned down the job/money/health insurance from Grey Matter back in like the 4th episode.
