I'm not gonna front, I've come across a lot of women like this the last half a year or so. I got out of a long term relationship last year, and decided to try and date again near the beginning of this year. I work overnights, and have my son during the day, so I really only have the opportunity to meet women online, and man, conversing with some women is a CHORE for the exact same reasons @BlackPearl mentioned. Some women don't try to move the conversation forward at all, even when I set them up as best as I can to start up some sort of topic of discussion. I think to myself,"okay, maybe she's not feeling me then" but then a few of them asked me to exchange numbers anyway. Ok cool, but then they would text me some shyt like"hey" and nothing else, like I'm the one who is supposed to say something interesting not even a "how you doing?" just a "hey" or "hi", the fukk am I supposed to do with that and even when I get the ball rolling I'd still get the occasional short answer that makes me go

I didn't even try to meet up with these women, I wasn't gonna do more of the same in person. The only dates I've gone on have been with women who know how to talk, nowadays I just dead the conversation at the first sign a woman isn't actively engaged in it.
