Why are people so antsy to start slandering somebody? That's so weird. Anyway, the biggest difference between them is context. The West is so much better than the East. It's the very reason why San Antonio can win 50 plus games every year and nobody flinches when a Memphis bounces them from the playoffs. The no ring "slander" got magnified after Bron went on his "not 1, not 2...." rant to only get sent home by an aging Dallas team. Prior to that, a ring was looked at as Bron's next challenge, but nobody deemed him a failure for not getting a ring in Cleveland. If anything, the "stay and take your lumps and win one for Cleveland, and you'll be the greatest ever for it" brigade was in full effect when he was about to leave.

Almost everything here is false. The West is certainly a superior conference now but people were shytting on Bron for not single-handedly defeating KG, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo and for his 38,8,8 not being enought to beat Orlando. The "can he get his team over the hump", "is he a winner" shyt started before MIA. Him going to MIA was clearly a reaction to both of those things (as well as Clevelands piss poor management). People only started the "stay and take your lumps in Cleveland" shyt after he left and went to MIA. People had been pining for him to leave Cleveland since he arrived there.

First of all, I'm a known Bron-hater but KD is not at his level. Second, perception is huge, Bron has been paraded as the best/the King/the Chosen One for ages, so of course expectations are higher. Durant has always been seen as a "very good/elite" player, he's not in the all-time great discussion -yet, we'll see how it plays out-. No one is seriously comparing Durant to the likes of Kobe, MJ, Magic etc. And then of course when Bron did the Decision/the "not one, not two, not three..." thing/the parade BEFORE winning, etc...he brought the heat (:troll:) upon him. And generally Durant is seen as a "good guy", whatever goes wrong with OKV will always be :russ:'s fault. Some guys have it good like that, just look at CP3, the supposedlty "best" PG for years now yet when he gets bounced in the playoffs it's always somebody's else's fault.

This is what I'm saying the stress on him was crazy to win with that team ...... That boston team was way to much to do the one man gang thing with. Nothing was enough when bron was in cle he was getting your a failure at 24???!!! But others that have better teams like Durant gets oh he is still young!!! I don't get it

You do realize that Melo and Dwight and CP3 are older than him right?

Cle Bron was still being pushed as the King/the Chosen One etc, so the extra pressure was there in Cleveland too. He didn't get the sympathy "he's trying but just can't get over the hump" looks Nash or Garnett got because of that. He just made it worse by the circus thrown when going to Mia.

Durant has NEVER been pushed as a potential GOAT, not yet anyway imo.

What a Lot of lebron stans dont get is that even his "haters" Hold lebron to a higher standard than anyone else.

We knew from the begining that for him the sky was the limit. The only people we ever compared him to were the likes of Jordan, Bird and Magic. That's were everyone wanted to see him go from the beginning because we knew he was capable of.

Durant was never in the discussion to be a top 5 all time player at the end of his career. We don't have those high expectations.

Now you can say this is hating or hipocrisy but acctually it's not. We expect more from him because we know he has the talent.

The reason why I hated on him when he left Cleveland was because he "robbed me" of the chance to witness history.

Now I'm by no means a Lebrun hater but I believe this is where most of this is coming from.

Well with that being said..Knowing that Durant has blossomed into arguably the greatest scorer of all time and someone who can eventually crack the GOAT conversation if KD doesn't win it this year Shouldn't he start catching Heat for never being able to get it done.

The "he's not a winner" "not clutch" "a chocker" slander never gets thrown at him. People always BLAME RUSS

They blame Russ when they got BEAT UP by the Heat and Blamed Russ when Russy got hurt and actually people used that situation to feel sorry for Durant :mindblown:

It's bullshyt hypocritical.

Durant showed up in the NBA Finals........he wasnt the reason for them losing to the Heat. Westbrook and Harden were.

Can you say the same thing about LeBron's 1st Finals appearance?:usure:

Can you say the same thing about LeBron's 2nd Finals appearance?:comeon:

Durant doesnt get that "win now" slander, because he already showed up on the biggest stage.......his teammates didnt.

nikkas need to get all the way the fukk outta here with this "hype" and "expectations" shyt. Mike wasnt heralded as future GOAT from the gate but once he showed he was special the expectations elevated and the slander started despite his individual brilliance. This has nothing to do with hype or people being unfair to Bron for that matter...it's just not KDs turn yet. How you gonna shyt on him when Melo and Dwight still ain't won shyt and aren't even taking that much shyt themselves?

Revisionist history. LeBron was not getting shytted on for not winning a ring with that cast. I just did a Google search for "LeBron needs to win a ring" and nothing about him getting shytted on in Cleveland shows up. He didn't get the slander until he came up small in the Dallas series with this dream team he left Cleveland for.

Exactly what I said .

BLAME EVERYBODY BUT DURANT.

Were not talking about just finals apperances (nice try trying to put the conversation in a vacuum).

He's had one of the best teams in the NBA for almost 5 years now and NOTHING to show for it. But it's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

Bron averaged 38,8, & 8 against the Magic and people STILL called him a choker:mindblown:!!!

And if Russy and Harden are the ones who stopped KD from getting a ring 2 years ago the why didn't KD win it all last year when he had neither of them to hold him back and ruin his championship aspirations ?:usure::comeon:

Hipocracy I tell you.

Yep.

People act like the whole narrative wasnt all about "LeBron or Carmelo" back around the 2003 NBA Draft and they were supposed to both be franchise players who's gonna lead their respective teams to Championships.

Carmelo has been out of the 1st round only twice I think. At least Dwight has led a team to the Finals once in his career:manny:
