Why are people so antsy to start slandering somebody? That's so weird. Anyway, the biggest difference between them is context. The West is so much better than the East. It's the very reason why San Antonio can win 50 plus games every year and nobody flinches when a Memphis bounces them from the playoffs. The no ring "slander" got magnified after Bron went on his "not 1, not 2...." rant to only get sent home by an aging Dallas team. Prior to that, a ring was looked at as Bron's next challenge, but nobody deemed him a failure for not getting a ring in Cleveland. If anything, the "stay and take your lumps and win one for Cleveland, and you'll be the greatest ever for it" brigade was in full effect when he was about to leave.
Almost everything here is false. The West is certainly a superior conference now but people were shytting on Bron for not single-handedly defeating KG, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo and for his 38,8,8 not being enought to beat Orlando. The "can he get his team over the hump", "is he a winner" shyt started before MIA. Him going to MIA was clearly a reaction to both of those things (as well as Clevelands piss poor management). People only started the "stay and take your lumps in Cleveland" shyt after he left and went to MIA. People had been pining for him to leave Cleveland since he arrived there.
) upon him. And generally Durant is seen as a "good guy", whatever goes wrong with OKV will always be
's fault. Some guys have it good like that, just look at CP3, the supposedlty "best" PG for years now yet when he gets bounced in the playoffs it's always somebody's else's fault.
