But who doesn't expect Durant to win?

He also is seen to have a "killer instinct." Dude os demanding that last shot. Nobody really blames KD for losses because of deferring to a lesser team member.

Revisionist history. LeBron was not getting shytted on for not winning a ring with that cast. I just did a Google search for "LeBron needs to win a ring" and nothing about him getting shytted on in Cleveland shows up. He didn't get the slander until he came up small in the Dallas series with this dream team he left Cleveland for.

:dead:

Actually witnessing something is no match for a failed and poorly worded google search after the fact. :laff:

Exactly what I said .

BLAME EVERYBODY BUT DURANT.

Were not talking about just finals apperances (nice try trying to put the conversation in a vacuum).

He's had one of the best teams in the NBA for almost 5 years now and NOTHING to show for it. But it's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

Bron averaged 38,8, & 8 against the Magic and people STILL called him a choker:mindblown:!!!

And if Russy and Harden are the ones who stopped KD from getting a ring 2 years ago the why didn't KD win it all last year when he had neither of them to hold him back and ruin his championship aspirations ?:usure::comeon:

Hipocracy I tell you.

huh?:dwillhuh:

Last 5 years? Are you including THIS SEASON which hasnt even concluded yet?:comeon:

Im gonna assume you arent and break down your argument.

Last 5 years:

2009, Thunder finished 23-59:scusthov:
2010, Thunder finished 50-32 and lost to the eventual NBA Champions in the 1st round:ehh:
2011, Thunder finshed 55-27 and lost in the WCFs to the eventual NBA Champions:lupe:
2012, Thunder finished 47-19 and lost in the NBA Finals. Durant averaged 31 ppg on 55% FG in the series. Westbrook and Harden combined for 39 ppg on 41% FG:comeon:
2013, Thunder finished 60-22 and lost in the 2nd round to the Memphis Grizzlies. No Westbrook due to injuries. Starting lineup of Reggie Jackson/Thabo Seflosha/Serge Ibaka/Kendrick Perkins with both Kevin Martin and Derek Fisher playing 25+ minutes per night in that series:usure:

So AGAIN, Kevin Durant has done his thing and has only gotten better individually and his team has went further every season. Last year, he had no 2nd option and lost to a much better Grizzlies team when Westbrook went down due to injury. He's moving along at a great pace and hasnt warranted any "slander" up to this point.

Mind you LeBron had just put up one of the better stat lines in playoff history and MANY articles like this were being written.

I guess the Bron hype monster is to blame for the Heat he got.(dont ask me how) He was dubbed King James, drafted number 1 outta highschool, had his highschool games televised on national tv and was being compared to nba great outta highschool. Durant Hype was NO WHERE NEAR Bron's level and never will be. I honestly didnt really know who Durant was until a few years ago.

You are comparing Durant to Bron early in their careers and it wasnt even close.:heh: nikkas wasnt talking bout Durant like that until he elevated his game.

This is the correct answer and nothing else needs to said in the thread, but nikkas will do it anyway.

Minus 2009 your doing NOTHING BUT PLEA COPPING!!!

I GURUNTEE you that you were NOT this forgiving on Bron in Clevland with a MUCH WORSE SUPPORTING CAST?:stopitslime::pacspit:

Durant is a great, great player, but he isn't on LeBron's level. He's the best scorer in the game but LeBron is significantly better at everything else and no slouch when it comes to getting buckets himself.

As long as LeBron is in the league, the pressure falls on him to win.

Yeah, in a distant second place with Lebron having lapped him. The MVP race hasn't existed for 4 of the last 5 seasons because Lebron was by far the best player in the world. This is the first year where there is a legit argument that Durant is just as good if not slightly better than him - and the fact that it is still even an argument is testament to Lebron's greatness and the expectations that were justifiably placed upon him back in high school.

Im in Cleveland:comeon:

I always give LeBron passes. However, look at who LeBron was losing too vs who Durant was losing to.

2004: 35-47, No playoffs

2005: 42-40, No playoffs

2006: 50-32, lose in 2nd round to Pistons who did not go on to be the NBA Champions

2007: 50-32, lose to Spurs in NBA Finals were LeBron was AWFUL. 22 ppg on 36% FG in the series.

2008: 45-37, lose in 2nd round to Celtics who went on to become eventual NBA Champions

2009: 66-16 lose in ECFs to Orlando Magic who did not go on to be the NBA Champions

2010: 60-21, lose to Celtics in 2nd who did not go on to be the NBA Champions.

NOW. Now that the facts are out there, you CANT compare what Durant has been doing with his team to what LeBron was doing with the Cavs. LeBron had only lost 1 time to the eventual Champions in his 7 years in Cleveland and had 1 loss in the Finals were he was horrible. Durant had lost twice to eventual NBA Champions and played EXCELLENT in the NBA Finals in the loss.

It's pretty obvious. If LeBron is expected to win then there's no way KD can also be expected to win. The minute LeBron slips, if KD doesn't have a ring by then the microscope immediately shifts towards him. And he'll eventually win. Everyone who has worn the crown as best in the game has a ring to show for it but KD isn't the best yet so nobody sweats it... yet.

:salute:Exactly KD showed up and out in the Finals to the best of his ability that year, Only an Idiot can say the loss has anything to do with him. Try Scott Brooks & James Harden (Ibaka could've played better too)

 at the stupid ass questions being asked

"why didn't he win it all last year?" :skip: -- yeah with the second leading scorer on the team out injured during the playoffs :what:

nikkas need to get all the way the fukk outta here with this "hype" and "expectations" shyt. Mike wasnt heralded as future GOAT from the gate but once he showed he was special the expectations elevated and the slander started despite his individual brilliance. This has nothing to do with hype or people being unfair to Bron for that matter...it's just not KDs turn yet. How you gonna shyt on him when Melo and Dwight still ain't won shyt and aren't even taking that much shyt themselves?
these dudes act like it just started with Bron too. :heh:

I remember as a yoot, Barkley, Malone, Ewing, etc got shyt for not winning titles. Shaq did too. And I know damn sure this all started well before that era.
