Im in Cleveland:comeon:

I always give LeBron passes. However, look at who LeBron was losing too vs who Durant was losing to.

2004: 35-47, No playoffs

2005: 42-40, No playoffs

2006: 50-32, lose in 2nd round to Pistons who did not go on to be the NBA Champions

2007: 50-32, lose to Spurs in NBA Finals were LeBron was AWFUL. 22 ppg on 36% FG in the series.

2008: 45-37, lose in 2nd round to Celtics who went on to become eventual NBA Champions

2009: 66-16 lose in ECFs to Orlando Magic who did not go on to be the NBA Champions

2010: 60-21, lose to Celtics in 2nd who did not go on to be the NBA Champions.

NOW. Now that the facts are out there, you CANT compare what Durant has been doing with his team to what LeBron was doing with the Cavs. LeBron had only lost 1 time to the eventual Champions in his 7 years in Cleveland and had 1 loss in the Finals were he was horrible. Durant had lost twice to eventual NBA Champions and played EXCELLENT in the NBA Finals in the loss.

:snoop: So hypocritical.....KD didnt get it done period. He lost on the biggest stage. The onus is on him as the perceived leader of that team.....just like it fell on bron in his loss to the spurs. The fact that people dont put that on him tells me that he is not as great as people hype him up to be. Put that bias away

Durant showed up in the NBA Finals........he wasnt the reason for them losing to the Heat. Westbrook and Harden were.

Can you say the same thing about LeBron's 1st Finals appearance?:usure:

Can you say the same thing about LeBron's 2nd Finals appearance?:comeon:

Durant doesnt get that "win now" slander, because he already showed up on the biggest stage.......his teammates didnt.
You can say it about his second. Not his first.

Revisionist history. LeBron was not getting shytted on for not winning a ring with that cast. I just did a Google search for "LeBron needs to win a ring" and nothing about him getting shytted on in Cleveland shows up. He didn't get the slander until he came up small in the Dallas series with this dream team he left Cleveland for.
He was getting slander before he went to Miami as someone said above. ''is he a winner'' and all that shyt.

Did you just start watching basketball? You have to be trolling with this.

You're mistaken him getting criticized for facets of his game i.e. clutch gene, etc. Nobody treated this dude like his career was a failure cause he couldn't win a ring with Cleveland. Two totally different things. People always nitpicked his game, but after taking Cleveland to the Finals, his scoring run against Detroit, and his shootout with Pierce, nobody put the "he aint shyt cause he hasn't won a ring" tag on Bron.

LEBRON failed in the NBA Finals.....Kevin Durant was failed by his teammates. You're obviously bias and by putting Kevin Durant's and LeBron's 1st Finals appearances on the same level shows everyone your biasness.

Kevin Durant's 1st NBA Finals appearance, he put up 31 ppg on 55% FG.
LeBron's 1st NBA Finals appearance, he put up 22 ppg on 36% FG

What do you MEAN people dont put it on Durant? How could you?:what:

these dudes act like it just started with Bron too. :heh:

I remember as a yoot, Barkley, Malone, Ewing, etc got shyt for not winning titles. Shaq did too. And I know damn sure this all started well before that era.

Dog I remember in one thread on a similar topic this dude told me "Barkley and Malone and Ewing didn't have to go through shyt like this." :deadmanny: nikkas either were not paying attention or are too young. shyt even Wilt was catching shyt back in the day.

He was def called out after the Orlando series for not being able to win. His haters went hard at him. You can choose to say this didn't happen if you want. I got no interest in arguing something that is common knowledge. Lebron caught a lot of hate for having no rings while with Cleveland.

. As the leader of the team, it is on KD. When Lebron loses a Finals....its on him. No matter what the cast does...its on Lebron. If they would have lost this past Finals, nobody would have mentioned Wade's or Bosh's performances. The media would have highlighted all of Lebron's performance blunders. KD does not get the scrutiny Lebron gets because everybody realizes that he isnt on Lebron's level :yeshrug:

But you reference "haters" going hard at him. Last time I checked, haters don't constitute the masses. That's why in my first response to this thread, I asked why are people chomping at the bit to "slander" KD? It makes Bron fans come off as insecure. There's context that these things take place within outside of "x amount of years without a ring". Bron was fresh off a MVP, already had a Finals trip in his bag, etc. The only thing he constantly got clowned about was how small he came up in certain moments. The whole clutch gene nonsense. He was never lambasted about not having a ring until he got to Miami and was a prohibitive favorite and lost to a team that couldn't hold their jocks. That's when the noise started.

Outside of Kobe stans, LeBron didn't catch no Peyton Manning type 'he's not a winner' hate like that. Perhaps after losing to the C's in 2010, but otherwise, nah.

Your own fellow Heat stans were talking bad about LeBron, because he was not performing at an elite level the entire series:manny:

Game 1: 18 pts on 44%

Game 2: 29 pts on 41%

Game 3: 15 pts on 33%

Game 4: 33 pts on 60%

Game 5: 25 pts on 36%

Game 6: 32 pts on 42%

Game 7: 37 pts on 52%

The questions were valid:yeshrug:

Durant in the 2012 NBA Finals

Game 1: 36 points on 60%

Game 2: 32 points on 55%

Game 3: 25 points on 58%

Game 4: 28 points on 47%

Game 5: 32 points on 54%

There are NO questions that can be asked about Durant's performance:usure:

When you win ...it doesnt matter. :russ:

Lebron lost his first in 4 and KD in 5. Both ended the same. Neither is better than the other. That is KD's ceiling tho. Bron will always get more scrutiny because people see him as one of the greats. Their leniency with KD just highlights their lack of respect for him as a leader

So you really gonna sit here and try to argue that people critiquing sayin he doesn't have the "clutch gene" or that he is a "choker" or "can't get it done" or whatever ad Naseum catchphrases that were HEAVILY thrown around doesn't DIRECTLY CORELATE with them questioning if he will ever win a championship?

KD has yet to be questioned in the slightest, and just like in this thread it's nothing but people making EXUSES for him.

The exact opposite of what they did for Bron.
