the problem with BS IT programs is that the industry moves way too fast for most curriculum to stay relevant. like I bet most Windows server classes in any BS IT program right now are referencing server 2008 while in the real world, server 2016 is about to release

these schools dont give a fukk about your career unless youre in a field lucrative enough for you to provide donations as an alumni.
these universities are a business. capitalism at its fnest

Infrastructure Engineer checking in. IT is not easy to make good money in because it's tough starting out with little to no experience but once you get up there to the Engineer level you are set.

5 Years You could've done a BS/MS in Computer Science and still had time to study for IT certs in that time

It was a 5 year degree program that included 18 months of work internship.

And had I skipped college altogether I could have had 0 debt and be making more than I'm making now.

And I'd like to see you study for your CCIE while taking a full course load at night and working a full time job

I peeped game when I was a freshman. I looked through all the classes I would take over my degree and compared what I would learn to an entry level job description.

I literally had the look on my face. I remember going to class and telling nikkas they ain't teaching us shyt but nobody listened
