But you are denying this by oversimplifying this point. See your post below. Most brehs getting into IT don't have the specialized experience needed and they wont get it just working at the help desk either. But a degree will help you progress much faster once you get experience to go with it.

You get experience the same way the dude with a BS does, you bust your ass and learn the appropriate skills. Skills that you more than likely are not going to be picked up during your degree program.
