I know it's hard to change a person if they grew up a certain way but what's a good way to start?
The older heads were telling me all this started cause the older generation of gangsters got locked up and a fresh new crop came in without any sort of structure or guidance.
The only thing that will stop this current generation is intervention by people they respect. Even that will just put a dent into this. But it's a start.
Afterwards there needs to be an alternative for these dudes to apply themselves to. This is the hard part. It's always easier to destroy than it is to build. It takes years to build but drugs are a quick dollar.
No one is going to invest in solving this problem because its not financially focused. Its helping people, which isn't about money. But imagine a large effort to rebuild the city and to start businesses. That's really the only thing that week prevent stuff like this.
This is the stuff we would look to the celebrities who gave made it out the situations like these to get into. Or any rich black people. Imagine Oprah and Will Smith combining their fortunes to build black communities from scratch.
