I'm urging all black folks to stop supporting chicago gang culture.

I agree, but you know how some people are addicted to that lifestyle of being ratchet and broke. Even people in the east coast now are using GBE shoutouts and ratchet Chi Town language to claim that they are bout that life. All this does is making history repeat itself again like the late 80s when gangsta rap polluted the minds of millions for the sake of being "hard."

Try going to The Booth with your opinion, and watch these dumb ass posters jump you and accuse you being a CAC or a c00n. :pacspit:
Most of the people "addicted aren't even about that life. No where near it, these kids live in the suburbs and and trying to turn it ratchet. Like how it seems like we are moving backwards?

Its a shame that speaking up against something that is counter productive to our race and our advancement is labeled c00n. Nothing positive about this just giving them what they want.
Meanwhile the kkk and prison industrial complex is sitting back like :myman:

I used to listen to a lot of drill music but pretty much stopped. I'll listen to a song every once still for a catchy beat but i feel guilty. It doesnt seem right wilding out and enjoying music by young black kids rapping about nothing but gunning down other blacks. Feels wrong.

Exactly. No need to burn crosses, when we have this and VH1 reality shows.

Thats they thing. These kids and living this life, I don't feel right supporting this movement. Nothing positive coming out of it, I can't defend it either. People try to act like it is not a big deal. Music is powerful.

It's very sad but I remember when I would point this out to kats during the Trayvon Martin debates and they would act like I was being sacrilegious. Let me tell you how powerful White Supremacy is in some folks minds. It's so strong that the loss of a black life is only worth truly getting upset over if a white man(or in this case a White Hispanic) does it. Otherwise it's business as usual. The media feeds this and gets a pass without fail. Now that's sad commentary but who can deny it's the truth. Now just watch someone come in here and cape for madness. They'll bring up how Trayvon got done dirty. So every death in cities like Chicago is a fair fight? Kats meet at noon, walk ten paces and whoever fires first lives to fight another day? :comeon:

What kind of chick were you when you were growing up?
I come from a middle class family. Both of my parents are professionals and grew up in rural areas of the country but still in black communities. They grew up poor in segregated communities and schools. They passed down a drive to learn and succeed to my siblings and myself. I was considered a nerd because I read a lot and was really excited to do well in school. I took AP classes. I wasn't the type of girl these guys wanted but I didn't want them either. I guess you could say I was a little lame because I didn't do drugs or drink (underage). I wasn't about to have sex until I was ready either and peer pressure didn't phase me. I don't equate gangstas to being black. There's a million and one ways to be black and still be proud. I had an older sibling who got into the gang lifestyle and I just thought it was silly. Blacks killing other blacks is plain dumb and unappealing. Why do I have to do that to be black when I could just do what my parents did and still be black?

hey, i didn't do the study. But the results are pretty convincing to me. Smoking weed isn't as harmless as we all want to believe. and it was a multi-ethnic sample

"
The present study examines predictors from ages 10 to 12 of joining a
gang between ages 13 and 18, using longitudinal data from the Seattle Social
Development Project (SSDP). Data are from a multiethnic sample of males
and females followed prospectively from 1985, when participants were in the
first semester of the fifth grade (age 10), to 1993, when participants were 18
years of age"

In the grand scheme of things, marijuana is harmless (compared to other recreational drugs). But for a long time, people have been putting out studies finding a way to further stigmatize it. Marijuana doesn't play a significant role in why these kids go down the wrong path. Especially since marijuana does not make people more aggressive or violent but has the complete opposite effect. Now if we're talking illegal drugs in general (i.e. crack) then that would make sense.

I said this back when gangsta rap was the dominant genre back in the 90s and early 00s; that it will cripple the minds of a generation of black folk. Now this ratchet southern-offspring Chi Town shyt is making kids give up on great lifestyles that their parents busted their ass for just to be popular :smh:. The lifestyle of these bums is being looked at as being cool and marketed as pleasure, but it offers nothing but pain and ignorance. Anyone that sees it as :manny: doesn't understand the bigger picture. Why else in 2014 we have 40 something year old thug rappers looking :flabbynsick: that still spit out ignorant shyt and these young Chief Keef dudes all :bustback: ? Big Mamma is dead and the family unit is destroyed.

:leon: I like the way you think. I seen a lot of chicks in AP classes still chase thug wannabe dudes and get their lives fukked up.

Sad, ain't it? Black on black crime is a different level of hatred, compared to other poor groups. No black leader will speak about it because the :cape: street dudes will try to debunk their statements as trash and "out of touch."

I dunno. It was a significant predictor of gang involvement (not necessarily violence though). Just cuz one likes weed, it doesn't mean it doesn't have negative consequences.

Look in all of these "gang" videos. What do you always see? Weed and guns

And also poor living conditions in those videos which plays a major factor in the crime that occurs. The weed has nothing to do with it. Poverty ALWAYS plays a major role in gang involvement.

Not Technically a "Doctor"
i'm going guess and say between 250,000-400,000 lives have been lost to b on b violence for the last three decades.
This thread is clearly a stop on the line of the c00n Train. All of you SHEEPLE saying "what about black on black crime?" are just falling for the white devil's tricknowledgification. I do NOT want to hear ONE WORD about black on black crime until the New Black Panthers have captured George W. Zimmerman, known Freemason and JEW. He is the number ONE threat to Kemetian males today.
